Santa Ynez Lodge Rental Photos and Description
The Lodge has 3 Beds, 2 Baths. The Cabin (100 paved feet away) has 1 Bed, 1 Bath

The Lodge and the Cabin are the guest quarters for the historic Rio Ynez Ranch, an 85-acre horse ranch in Santa Ynez. Previously, these two houses were only available to guests of the owner, including many storied personalities. Now you can share in the total privacy--- while only 5 minutes from downtown Santa Ynez, 10 to Los Olivos. Stroll 100 paces and sit at the edge of the Santa Ynez River and listen to the landscape of birdsong. Sit on the sprawling deck with a glass of local wine and ponder the uninterrupted panorama of mountains. Swing on a hammock in the orchard and read. You won’t see a sign of civilization during your stay. Furnished with a mixture of antiques and rare rustic furniture.

The kitchen in the Lodge is fully equipped for you to cook a fine meal, but the restaurants of Santa Ynez are only moments away, wineries too numerous to mention.

The Lodge has one King Bedroom, Two Queen Bedrooms and Two Full Baths. The Cabin has One King Bed and one Full Bathroom.

THE LODGE AND THE CABIN DO NOT RENT SEPARATELY AS THEY ARE IN SUCH CLOSE PROXIMITY. THE CABIN IS LESS THAN ONE HUNDRED FEET FROM THE LODGE, IT IS CONNECTED BY A LIGHTED PAVED PATH. Many guests of the ranch say the Cabin is their favorite spot on the ranch. It has been a honeymoon cottage. One couple was engaged in the cabin. It is very romantic and peaceful. And the bathroom in the cabin is the nicest on the ranch with a large claw-foot tub.

Initial inquiries should be made by email.

WE MUST LIMIT THE NUMBER OF GUESTS TO EIGHT TOTAL. ON HOLIDAY WEEKENDS PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO THREE DAY BOOKINGS

I've been to the area twice before but I stayed at the Hadsten House both times. Although it's a decent hotel, I felt like I was missing out. So when we decided to plan another trip, I started looking at other options and found the Rio Ynez Ranch after a lot of research. We stayed at the lodge & cabin over the weekend of September 18th. We absolutely loved it and it was definitely worth all of the time searching through vacation rentals!

We're a group of friends in our late 20s/30s from Los Angeles and we all desperately needed a stress-free weekend. The river, the quiet, the views, the distant sound of a mooing cow, the hats! Everything was perfect and Andrew was very easy to deal with. The kitchen is fully stocked with almost everything you'd need to cook (loved the vintage stove) and the Los Olivos Grocery is only a short drive away. There was even a bottle of wine and the basic necessities in the fridge when we arrived!

The ranch is located very close to "Santa Barbara Wine Country Cycling Tours", so we rented bikes and stopped at a few vineyards. Trattoria Grappolo is across from the bike shop and is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in California. When Sunday came around, none of us wanted to leave. We're already talking about our next trip back... hopefully this time for a week!

I have to admit that the word "rural" in the description made me slightly nervous, but this house was the cleanest, most well-maintained rental I have EVER stayed in. It was the PERFECT location. It was so spacious (we had 5 adults and 2 three-year olds)with soft sheets (so important) and comfy beds. The kitchen was great - the guys cooked dinner one night and found every tool that you could possibly need. Andy (the owner) was always quick to respond to my questions via email or phone in the days leading up to our visit. I truly felt like an invited guest in the house - Andy had provided some basics in the refrigerator (water, milk, cream, cheese, juice for the kids) and even better...a great bottle of wine! My only complaint would be that the wording in the description wasn't 100% clear to me - I didn't realize that the 4th bedroom was actually in a separate small building ("the cabin") from the main house. It's only about 100 feet from the main house but it was separate. We've told all of our friends about this house & Andy's hospitality and can't wait to return. It will definitely be our first choice of places to stay when we go up next time. I highly, highly recommend staying there!
