We stayed at Jasmine for 10 days in May of 2007. We traveled with our daughter, who was 4 at the time. I have to say Jasmine was on of the most beautiful, well-kept, clean, and inviting rentals I have ever seen. Everything you could want was there, including beach paraphenalia (chairs, umbrella, snorkel equipment). The owner of the home has a wonderful artistic touch, and the attention to detail was amazing. We arrived to a spotless home, with fresh flowers accenting every nook and cranny. The large screen porch out front was one of our favorite places. You could hear and see the ocean, and watch the little birds in the flowering shrubs. Out back was an outdoor shower (which we used every day!), along with lounge chairs, a grill, and a seating area under a magnificent banyan tree. The owner was very easy to communicate with and will send you a comprehensive packet of info before you go.
We found Eleuthera to be magical. The people were warm and helpful, the fresh seafood is delicious, and the beaches are spectacular. We rented a car and explored everyday. Our daughter loved beachcombing and dancing with the local kids at the fish fry. I would not hesitate to return to Eleuthera or to Jasmine.

Jasmine House more than met our expectations

My husband and I spent a week at Jasmine House in February and were very pleased with the house, surrounding property, ocean view, and wonderful beach. I felt the description and photos represent the property well. The house is furnished with comfortable and attractive furniture and the back yard, which is very large and has 3 seperate seating areas to accommodate various times of the day, is private and teeming with wildlife. The outdoor shower was a nice touch and we used it almost exclusively during our stay.
Everything we wanted/needed was available including prompt replacement of a gas tank for the stove. One phone call and they were right there to fix the situation.
Our favorite spot was the front porch which is very large with lots of comfortable seating and tables to eat meals, etc. It is screened in and allows the breezes to flow throughout the house, provides a relief from the sun, but still feels like you are right outside the whole time.
We felt so comfortable and really enjoyed the fact that we could just leave all the windows open and let the air flow through the house at night listening to the surf. Actually we never even locked the place up and felt very safe and secure the whole time we were there.
The beach is a short walk down the street and I can count on one hand the number of people we saw during the week we were there. It is like having your own private beach which was as nice as any we have encountered in our travels.

We LOVED our stay at Jasmine House. What a beautiful home!!! Jasmine was a happy surprise, even better in person, roomy, breezy and very comfortable. It was just perfect and had everything we needed. We were quite comfortable. We loved the back patios, the yard and the walk to the beach. We've been to St. John's before but the private estate beach is my alltime favorite. We hope to go back soon.

We had a wonderful time at the Jasmine. The house was delightful and we had EVERYTHING we needed. As for spaciousness.....the Jasmine was plenty!! We had a full family and had lots of room. It was great sleeping. The outside shower was fantastic....it was the BEST thing to use because we could use the portable shower head to wash the sand off the kids....very convenient and kept the house clean. We could not get over the fact of having that amazing beach all to ourselves....WOW!
We spent more to stay at the Jasmine, because we wanted more....and that's what we got. We expected lots, and we got lots! All in all, it was an amazing peaceful spot to have a vacation!

best vacation

Jasmine is a lovely home. I found the house to be more than adequate and the decor inside really plays into the mood of vacationing. We did not find the rental overpriced and we really like the privacy of Jasmine and the access to Hut Beach/Banana Beach. We spent the first few days exploring and drove up and down the island but as the week progressed we decided that although it was fun to go beach hopping/exploring, Hut Beach/Banana Beach (as we came to learn was the name of the beach) was really one of our favorites, and there was no traveling necessary to get to it. The beach was one of the best on the island.
We had breakfast every morning on the porch and you can see the water from the house. At night we sat out there and listened to the lizards and the birds and who knows what other wild life making noises outside. It was relaxing. I found the rear shower to be wonderful.

Jasmine for two

The house is cute. Kitchen is well equiped. Partial ocean view. This house is better for a couple not a family with kids. Second bedroom very small and it has a pull out couch. Second bathroom does not work to well. House is located in a cul de sac close to two other houses. Overall athmosphere is relaxing.
Better beaches are a short drive from the house. Bring your own drinking water!
Honestly, you probably get more for your money in other houses in Eluthera. A "bit"overprice.
