The house has all the essentials for a lovely trip -- the hottub was wonderful and the enclosed deck provides great shelter from the wind. Pluses of this house include brand-new decor, furniture, appliances, and satellite TV. The couch was great for two people to recline. We were two adults and a toddler and the place was the perfect size for us. I think 4 adults might feel a little cramped in the living room, although technically there is enough seating for them and enough space with the outside deck to have privacy -- but it's not a huge house. The master bathroom and guest bathroom were both quite spacious and everything worked great. Our only (minor) complaints were that the kitchen and living room have a wall between them -- it's open around the sides so you can hear each other but people in the living room cannot see the people in the kitchen. This could be an advantage for some people but if you want to cook while socializing with people in the living room, it's worth noting. Also, while the kitchen had a good array of pots and pans it was a little light on small utensils like an array of spatulas, a proper whisk, etc. The gas bbq is great and very convenient. We didn't use the gas fireplace but the central heating system worked perfectly. We loved the spyglass and binoculars for watching the ocean. On the cleanliness front, we made our reservation very last minute so they probably did a rush cleanup before we checked in, that said I was a little bothered by tiny little dead flies around some of the windowsills and in one of the bathrooms. There were no bugs to speak of except one intrepid spider during our stay. Also the deck stairs were quite dirty. They didn't look dirty until you sat on them and came away with dirt/soot on your pants. We ended up scrubbing them down ourselves because our toddler was all over the steps all the time. This is probably a nonissue for adults, aside from getting your bare feet dirty on the way to or from the hottub.
