Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 2-1/2 Baths, (Sleeps 7)

Come enjoy some 'down time' and 'recharge' at Lake Murray! Fish from our dock, paddle around in our canoe, or rent a jet ski or boat and get out on the water! Grill up your fresh catch on the deck and or sit back and relax on the screen porch overlooking the water and dock.

This open floor plan home was built in 2007 and recently purchased and outfitted with all new furniture. The master suite is located upstairs and features a queen bed, a cedar lined dresser, satellite HDTV, DVD, and a sitting area overlooking the lake. The master bath has tile floor, dual sinks, a soaker tub, separate shower, and a walk-in closet.

Down stairs you will find a high ceiling great room with hardwood floor connected to a dining area and full kitchen with an island bar. Above the gas log fireplace is a satellite HDTV (1080p) with DVD and surround sound system. A comfy leather sofa and love seat with built in recliners will let you relax while enjoying a movie from our DVD selection.

The gathering height dining table will seat 8, and 5 more can sit at the kitchen bar.

Two down stairs bedrooms featuring double beds are connected with a 'Jack and Jill' full bath with double sinks. One bedroom has a trundle bed for a child's use.

Two sliding glass doors open from the great room on to the deck and screen porch with views of the shared dock and lake. A full laundry room and 1/2 bath complete the down stairs.

This house has a paved driveway off a paved street in a nice neighborhood. A well kept lawn with sprinkler system will have you going barefoot and relaxing as soon as you get out of the car!

About Steve

Our family enjoys water sports and we have friends with weekend or permanent homes in the near-by area. I am a relocated mid-westerner who has been in South Carolina over 29 years. When out-of-town family and guests come to visit, we wanted to provide a place to stay that was relaxing and not so intruding on our permanent home. We furnished and appointed this house as we would for our best friends. I know that you will enjoy staying here also!

Why Steve chose Leesville

Lake Murray is the closest major lake to our permanent home. The lake level is well maintained as compared to Lake Strom Thurmond (Clark's Hill). The house is located away from the congested traffic of down town Lexington, and away from the high density boating areas near the dam, yet we have easy access to town when needed.

What makes this cottage unique

Spinners Resort and Marina is close by and has fine dining as well as a sandy beach area with live entertainment. Ask us about a guest pass. We also enjoy the smooth waters of the many nearby coves for wake boarding and skiing. A public boat ramp and picnic area are also close. Dreher Island State Park is a short boat trip away.

We were so pleased when we walked into your home, It was all that we had hoped to find. Everything was fresh , clean and of good quality. We had such a great, relaxing vacation. From the moment we laid eyes on the beautifully decorated interior of the home until they day we left, we had a fabulous vacation! The owner called to make sure we got in & settled ok & the friendly neighbor let us borrow one of his many life jackets for our little grandson. Fishing & swimming all week long, the kids had great time, the adults had a great time too! The view of the sunrise and sunset were phenomenal! We are already planning our next visit and will be recommending this home to many!

This the 3rd house I have rented on Lake Murray through VRBO. This was, without a doubt, the best. It was better than advertised. Very well appointed. Very clean. It had everything we were looking for. The owner was very helpful and even the neighbors were friendly and welcomed us. This house seemed brand new. Other equipment highlights: the grill was amazing, the screened back porch, the air conditioning would freeze you if you did not turn it up, the kitchen was completely equipped, the walk to the dock was short and easy, the dock was perfect for my boat. We had a ball. Will definitely return.

This was a beautiful and comfortable home to vacation in. It was very clean and provided everything necessary for a fantastic vacation. Well stocked kitchen, we didn't need to bring anything but the food. The dock was wonderful for fishing and kayaking. The owners checked on us to see if we arrived ok and needed anything. They were very helpful with suggestions to meet our needs. We will return again in the future.

Fishing off the dock was great. Not sure how the owner arranged for record breaking temperatures, but he did. Decor of this home is exquisite. Best of everything.

Beautiful Home - Clean, Great Location, and Wonderful Neighbors

The owner is great and very friendly. He provided great information on the local area before we even got down there! He was very easy to work with and responded quickly. The home was above our expectations. Extremely clean and well finished throughout. The dock was great as we could keep our boat docked during our entire stay. I would highly recommend this property, it is absolutely beautiful and we loved being right on the lake.

The owner also left a book out for guests that details the area and some recommendations on places to eat and visit. Great recommendations, we had a great vacation and we are looking forward to our next visit!

Our family and friends had such a relaxing vacation in this home. There was plenty of space for 2 couples and 3 small children, and the house was stocked with anything and everything you would ordinarily need. We grilled out several times on the propane grill and enjoyed the lake views from the screened porch. Their spot on the water is very quiet which made for some peaceful morning canoe rides. We were all completely satisfied with this vacation home and hope to return when we are in the area again.

Beautiful home for a family get together

This home made our sisters gathering so enjoyable. The description sells it short - the place is beautifully decorated, linens are plentiful, surround sound will blow you away, the master suite is big and the kitchen is amazing! The screened in porch is roomy and perfect for a game of uno with the kids or a glass of wine while chatting. The shared dock is perfect for fishing.

We had one child under 3 and two children between 6 and 9 that all enjoyed the Lake and area Zoo. Not a lot for really young children - but plenty for the older ones. Wave runner rental, boats and conoeing, fishing etc.

The Publix is totally stocked with everything imaginable and the area now has a nail salon - whoohooo!

The neighbors are quiet and friendly. It was such a great stay! I can't wait to plan another trip!

Our family had a great relaxing stay at this vacation home. The homeowners were very helpful in answering any questions or concerns. We brought our boat with us and the ability to have the boat right at the dock was wonderful plus and the boat launch is close by and nice. The house is very well stocked and the decor makes you feel right at home the minute you step inside. I have recommended this home to many of my friends and relatives who often visit family in the Lake Murray area and hope to stay there again.

This house is a beautiful and tastefully decorated home. Very comfortable with great furnishings. The kitchen wasn't lacking for anything, very well equipped. We loved the screened in deck. Also a very clean home.
Our 8 year old grandson caught 4 fish in one morning off the dock. One was about a 4-5 lbs catfish. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would definately stay again if in the area.
