FIrst off the Villa is Awesome.....Huge living area, Great Views, THE POOL!!! They keep alot of amenities stocked, Great Location:close to Red Hook (Ate there 3 times during our stay..Molly Malones, Coco Blue and Duffys Love Shack...All GREAT), and many different beaches (Secret Harbor was our favorite closeby beach...you can see it from the deck, and its just a 5 min drive at most) close to the grocery store as well. THe Master Suite is Amazing. TVs in every room, and at the pool.

Manfred is great, Him and his son Matthew met us at the airport to take us to the villa, but since we were getting married the next day we needed to get our marriage license at the courthouse, they escorted us there and even took us to the local Food Store to get our weeks worth of grocery shopping done. He was just a phone call away, and assured us if we need anything to call anytime. Great Hosts!!!

Our party consisted of 2 couples and 1 small child and found the villa to be perfect for us and still had room for more. I did ALOT of research before choosing this villa, Two things that make this different..you will not find very many rentals on the island that have the owners on the island and just a phone call away, nor will you find many that do not charge you by how many people in your party.

Highly recommend this villa.

We were a group of 3 couples looking for a relaxing escape together - and we found it at the Villa Ocean's Edge. Let me review point-by-point:
......Location:
1) Great proximity to Red Hook - easy for a day sail trip on opus charter.
2) Close to popular beaches (be aware Coki's bathrooms are under construction).
3) Best part was private access to ocean - snorkeling any time of day and once at night (with dive lights). Coral in better shape than most public beaches.
4) Very good food store close by (possible to walk to) - had everything we needed: food, beer, wine, liquor.
......Amenities:
1) Great Room - loved the spaciousness, made preparing meals a fun group event. The grill on deck was used almost every night.
2) Perks - air conditioning in all rooms, water cooler near bedrooms, flat screen TVs - with service to music channels.
3)Pool - clean and just the right temperature.
4) Deck - view, view, view! Spent many hours watching boats, iguanas, countless birds, gazing at stars... awesome! Loved the shaded deck area off the master bedroom - welcome relief once you're sunburned!
5) Villa's computer and internet access is handy for occasional use.
6) Automatic generator avail for power outages.

1) M&M are wonderful. Very readily avail for any issues. They provided a great information book on the villa as well as the island and were eager to give advice on island activities.
2) Lots of sunscreen, beach towels, kitchen supplies.
......FYI:
1) Despite the villa's citronella candles, some of us got lots of mosquito bites. I recommend wearing long pants when spending the evening on the deck.
2) Verizon cell service available but costs $2/minute.
3) Ocean here is protected marine area.
............Overall, this oasis of relaxation is a bargain! We can't wait to come again!

The views from this waterfront home are fantastic. The location (right on the water) is first rate. The sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep every evening, when we got tired of going down to the beach which is just below the house, we splashed around the pool.

This Villa is ideal for kids as there is plenty of snorkeling in the gentle reef and beach down the steps from the Villa.

The owners of the Villa, Margie and Manfred Soeffing, were fantastic. They picked us up at the airport and gave us lots of local Island history along the way. They were available whenever we had a question about restaurants or how to get to St. John and back. I hope we didn't bother them too much!

Overall it was a great experience and we've already booked for next year.

We had an amazing time at Villa Ocean's Edge, and our hosts Margie and Manfred were extremely warm hearted an accommodating. They picked myself and my new wife up from the airport and offered to come by to help us in any way we needed during the stay. When we arrived at the villa we were floored by how amazing it was. Right on the water with spectacular views of the ocean below. The villa was spacious and luxurious with all full furnishing and accommodations right down to all the small amenities that you take for granted in your own home, but don't have access to during normal vacations. Cookware, coffee maker and supplies, computers and laptop with internet, large screen tv's with movies throughout the house, towels, umbrellas, candles, shampoo, blankets were just a few of the hundreds of small and large amenities that made life all-taken-care-of in the middle of this luxurious villa in the middle of paradise. Great location just a mile up the road from a small down and harbor. Easy access to the ferry for quick trips to St. John (Trunk bay is a must-visit!). The property had much more to offer than even described in the listing and was clean and well-maintained. The owners were absolutely wonderful and dependable. I would recommend this villa to family and friends and hope to return for a wedding anniversary one day in the future!

The pictures on the website do not do the view justice. The view from the pool is spectacular, and we found it hard to find time to explore the island, as we enjoyed it so much. My son especially liked the outdoor big screen television in the pool area.
The location is ideal as it is only a very short drive to either Red Hook in one direction or the supermarket in the other. The proximity to Red Hook is great because it has wonderful restaurants, the ferries for St. John & Tortola and is home for many of the islands boat tours.
The only complaint we had was that the prior tenant had cracked the bathtub in the guest bathroom and it was in the process of being fixed while we were there.
I would highly recommend Villa Ocean's Edge for its view, location and wonderful hosts.

My girlfriend and I made our annual treck to the islands in June for our "girls trip". This year we stayed on St Thomas and in this waterside home belonging to Margie & Manfred. The house setting was great and the view was gorgeous, even though we had unusually rainy weather for June and very little sunshine all week. My teenage daughter loved the window seat in the main living area to read and watch the rain. We also enjoyed the pool for quick relief from the humidity.

Margie & Manfred were great hosts and live close by in case of any problems. We also had them cook us a gourmet dinner & would highly recommend it!! They are very friendly folks and know a lot about the island and its sites and was a wealth of knowledge we took advantage of.

This house is close to Red Hook so you have quick access to the ferries for St John & Tortola or any boat/fishing trips you might want to take. Good dining is close by for the days you don't want to use the kitchen (which is equiped with everything you could think of) and some nice specialty shops.

Inspite of the weather we had a great week and enjoyed this house as our home base! Would recommend!!
