We arrived !!! and really like your cabin!! Sunset is gorgeous -- alpine glow to the max!!!

I stayed at this cabin with my girlfriend for 4 days, 3 nights. Overall it was a quaint, quiet and cozy little cabin. And I do mean little. It is an A-frame with 3 bedrooms that have just enough room for the beds and a nightstand or two...but that is part of what made it so cozy. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs where the .5 bath was so we opted to stay in the downstairs bedroom near the full bath. I would have preferred the full bath upstairs near the room with the nice view but it wasn't a deal breaker or anything.
The cabin had everything one would need for a nice stay with the added bonus of a hot tub and the ability to bring pets. Our 2 dogs absolutely loved the place which made us very happy! The hot tub was awesome but not private at all as it sits out on the balcony visible from the main road.
My only reason for not giving this house 5 stars was that the full bathroom had a drainage problem causing the sink to back-up constantly. Also, the shower drained slowly as well. There was only one wine glass but we made due with mis-matched glasses and the TV remote was missing which forced us to drag a chair to the TV which was mounted on the wall to try and fine the INPUT button to allow us to watch a DVD. At night that button is almost impossible to find. Also, there was no grill lighter which we didn't notice until after buying food to cook on the grill which forced us to make another trip to the local store. We left the one we purchased behind for the next guests.
These were just small complaints...nothing major. We did like the close proximity to the lake where we took the dogs every morning to run and play. The area around the house was quiet and the bed was very comfortable.
I think we would return in the future...but maybe bring a few more stock items of our own.

My husband and I could not have asked for a better vacation. This cabin has everything needed to relax and enjoy all the awesomness of Tahoe. I would recommend this cabin to all who want to stay near Tahoe City. The location is close to everything, but set back enough to feel like your getting away.

This little getaway has many of the bells and whistles we look for in our Tahoe getaways, but frequently don't find in one cabin. First of all, you can bring your dogs if they are good citizens...and we enjoy hiking and exploring Tahoe with them...so not having to board them is a major plus. This property sits up on a rise not far from Sunnyside, our favorite corner of the lake. The view is expansive! And you can enjoy it while sitting on the deck or in the top notch hot tub that's on the deck. This isn't some lame jetted tub with no healing effects, this hot tub REALLY massages your back thoroughly, in a seated or lounging position. Very very nice! Flat screen TV, wireless connectivity and stocked kitchen made this cabin a sweet retreat without breaking the bank. Thanks Kate!

We brought our 9-year-old and 5-year-old, as well as our golden retriever, to Lake Tahoe for a week in August. This house was great. We really enjoyed the view of the lake and the stars at night -- all from the hot tub on the deck!

The Tahoe City area is the best place to be on the lake -- close to all kinds of fun. We really loved staying at this property!

Having been to Tahoe a few times, Kate's place made this the best visit by far. She was wonderful to work with, provided a clean, modernized cabin in an ideal location, and provided plenty of instructions and recommendations on the area to insure the first-time visitors had the best experience possible.

If your group is 6 people or less, look no further. We will stay here every time we return to Tahoe.

My family of four, I have 4 and 6 year old boys, staying in the cabin for 4 nights. This cabin was set up perfectly and we still had a spare bedroom. The cabin is convenient, comfortable and has enough amenities such as the hot tub, cable television, internet access, an ipod docking stereo to really make staying there a relaxing, comfortable experience. My boys loved their room and we loved the view of the lake from the deck and out room. We would absolutely recommend the cabin and we hope to stay there again sometime.

If we had one knock on it, the full size bed upstairs has a mattress that sags in the middle which makes for a challenging nights sleep for two people. It should be replaced. However, there is another queen bed downstairs that is very comfortable.

Kate, The week with my daughter, Marie, and her golden retirever, Bear, was magnificant. We actually got snowed in for a day! I do have some suggestions: The downstairs bathroom sink was clogged for several days until Marie was able to pull hair/debris out of the drain; the remote for TV was low on battery life; We tried to vacuum a bit before we left, but the vacuum spit up sand and other stuff!...It probably would help you if the vacuum worked and if you had a broom and dust pan!; the micro-wave seemed very slow/on last legs?; Towels were not pleantiful until we discovered many in the dryer on Friday, a little damp....so we re-washed and dryed them. However, none of these items were a big deal to me; I just would want to know if this were my place.
Thank you for the late check out! We went way too far in Paige Meadows, found others with playful dogs, and did not get out of your home until 4:30. The lady for hot tub maintenance came by at 3:30 and talked to us for 20 minutes...we were not yet out, but she and her son decided to come back because the hot tub needed to be drained on another day. One last item...when we arrived, the outside table was collasped under a mass of snow. I straightened it a bit as the snow melted the first few days, but the new snow on Wednesday - Thursday really covered the whole deck and front entry way. Great shovel and we used it alot.! Before we left, Marie was able to straighten the table legs almost back to whatever they were before we arrived. We both like to leave a place we enjoyed in excellent shape to honor our memories! Thank you for having a great retreat for us. I do look forward to more times...probably wintertime.
