I am from New Orleans and back in 1990 I visited Rincon Puerto Rico. I fell in love with the ocean and did not return. I became a diver, spelunker, kayaker and surfer. I taught English for 15 years and after I moved to the mountains we turned our home into a rental.
In New Orleans we'd always escape to the Mississippi Gulf coast. We had a home in Waveland. I enjoyed the beach and sand, but on the water was always murky because of silt from the Mississippi River.
When we stumbled upon this villa it was abandoned. There was a tiny For Sale sign and we quickly called and scooped up the property.
You can only get closer to the ocean by floating in a boat. The waves crash against the house and at times come into the balcony.
The ocean is healing. The ocean brings peace and tranquility.
