Baby Bear was perfect to say the least! Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. On the top of that, the cabin was immaculate! On our way we got lost in the mountains but when we found our way out, I called Mark & he led us straight to the cabin. The owners were SO helpful & nice. There is a nice checker set which my husband & I spent a lot of time playing. We havent's been on an "alone" vacation since 7 years ago when we were married and were looking to get away from it all, relax & spend some quality time together. We are 30 & 31, so if you're looking to party, probably not the place for you. However there is a downtown which has all sorts of shops and restaurants (no more than 10 min. away). We used about a little over a quarter tank of gas going back & forth to town. Also a lot of antique shops & arts & crafts places to go if you're into that. My only advice would be to bring a GPS, because if not you will end up in the mountains somewhere, which is somewhere you do not wanna be if you are city folks like my husband & I. Also call the owners if you need further directions. I spent quite a lot of time in the awesome jacuzzi tub--very relaxing. There is also a hot tub but we didn't get the chance to use it on our stay. You can also bring your pets, which were going to but decided to leave them home after some thought. Anyhow I would recommend this place to anyone in a heart beat and plan to go there again in the future. It was really a pleasure and absolutely perfect!!!
Thanks for everything--Mark & VanDee,
Erika & Jeff D.
