This was a great place for a family vacation. My husband and I chose to drive here with our 2 kids. One was 4yrs old and the other 6months. What attracted me to this condo were the children's amenities. This meant less for us to pack. There were beach toys, beach wagon, and beach umbrella available. There were also regular indoor toys and movies available. There was a playpen, highchair, and baby bath seat also available. The condo itself was very nicely decorated and the view from the balcony was great. We saw dolphins swimming by almost every morning and evening. There were a lot of stairs to climb but without being on the top floor, we wouldn't have had such great a view. It was a short walk to the beach but the beach had white sand and wasn't crowded. This made it feel more relaxing. Indian Shores isn't too far from Clearwater beach if you want more of a social outgoing atmosphere. The owners left a greeting basked with goodies which was such a nice gesture. They also had a binder of local restaurants and attractions which came in handy. They always responded timely to emails. Our deposit was returned in a timely manner. Everything went smoothly. I would definitely come back again.

We were so impressed with the condo and all the amenities that came with it. A home away from home...without a doubt! The condo was extremely clean, spacious and great views of the bay. We even saw some dolphins. The kids were happy with their surroundings and they had a blast. Walking to the beach only took 2 minutes and having the cart on wheels to load the provided beach equipment was an added bonus. We would strongly recommend to our family and friends to stay at this condo without hesitation. If there were any issues, Darryl was easily accessible to resolve themt. A GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

We stayed in unit 603 for 4 weeks (15 Apr - 13 May 2012) and loved it. Condo is beautiful, well furnished and exactly as pictured in all of the photos with gorgeous views, clean, well maintained, and had everything that we needed and more. Having barbeque was a bonus, made dinners quick and easy if we decided to stay at home. The location could not have been better; beautiful beach is just short 2 minutes walk across the street, great restaurants around, grocery shopping, everything that you need for a great vacation. Darryl, the owner made the whole process very smooth and easy. He was available throughout the process to answer any questions I had. We had a couple of small issues that were brought to the owner’s attention upon our arrival, he was very friendly, responsive and very quick to resolve the issue. We were very sorry to leave when out four weeks ended, but look forward to going back again.

The condo looks just like the pictures if not better.....you need to bring just your self....and clothes of course....this condo has everything all the way down to the scotch tape.....it is decorated beautifully.....every morning I had my coffee on the terrace looking out on the bay and watching the boats go by....the beach is right across the street...

We spent 28 glorius days at Mariner Pointe. Darrell & Isabel were so helpful with providing us with the extra things we needed when our family visited with us. The condo is lovely and bright. Having a washer & dryer in the unit was really helpful. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. We enjoyed most of our meals watching boats and dolphins go up and down the intercoastal waters. The beach is within a few minutes walk, shopping in the area is great. We always felt safe when out walking at night. Thanks for a wonderful time!! We will definitely be back!!

Had a great time. Our condo was very welcoming and comfortable, we felt at home very quickly. Everything we needed was there. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the condo and walking down to the pier, it was very quiet, peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed.

When we wanted to go to the beach, which was every day, it was just across the road. All stores, restaurants and sites were all easy to get to. Information provided in condo regarding these places sure came in handy. The welcoming binder with information was also very helpful, and knowing that we could contact the owner incase of any problem was a comfort.

We met some very nice people who were also renting condos, and everyone was very respectful of not being loud.

Our only disappointment was that the pool was not heated, so we were unable to go for a swim, hopefully next time.

Dear Isabel and Darryl – The promise we gave 2009 in our internet review after our one week's stay at your Gulf Retreat Condo in May, we could fulfill this year and with a stay of 2 ½ weeks.

From our first stay we knew what to expect. And really, we were not disappointed. Weather wise it is certainly a difference between spring and fall, also in Florida. The weather forecast for the area was not too brilliant when we left Switzerland, but for the whole stay with the exception of a single day of partially scattered showers weather otherwise was sunny, blue sky, some white clouds and very agreeable water and air temperatures.

The beach was as last time, white, clean and never crowded. This time we wanted to split the time between one day golf and one day beach. And we found that Indian Shores is equally well placed for both. We knew that most of the golf clubs in the area would rent golf sets but as we wanted to play on different courses and would not like to have different sets every time we rented the set at an address we found in the internet while still being in Switzerland (Ken's Quality Golf, Clearwater, phone 727 531-8871) and for bargain green fees we found www.teeofftampabay.com to be very valuable.

From the restaurants in the area we especially liked "Villa Gallace" and "Salt Rock Grill", but with the very well equipped kitchen and the beautiful and interesting view from our balcony, where we had some of our diners, we sometimes also liked to stay "at home". The new, slightly higher chairs and table on the balcony allowed us an unspoiled view to the waterway where we spotted dolphins and – as we believe – also the movements of manatees. The variety of birds on the sandbank at low tide and in and above the mangrove swamp is amazing; not spoken about the large number of huge fish in the little stream just below the balcony. For us this wildlife was more interesting and much better than any television or cinema program.

We really felt at home again as soon as we had opened the key lock box, turned the key and crossed the doorstep. Thank you again, Isabel and Darryl for a wonderful vacation! We certainly hope that we will have other chances to spend holidays in your condo.
