Myself and 7 other people rented the house for a little getaway. We enjoyed our self even though we were surprised to see how away everything was (the closest walmart where we had to go was a half hour). But we are also used to being around everything that we need. We are a young group so the house was a little old fashioned but it made the atmosphere around feel just right. We didn't get to meet the owner but the house keeper was very nice. We loved the view from the rooms and hot tub. The privacy is great as well !! That was a big plus to be in your own space and not worry about neighbors. The well water also came in handy considering we were a group of 8 we all showered in the same day and didn't have to worry about the hot water running out. We come from new jersey so it was a big difference all around, and a great experience! P.s we got lucky and had great warm weather so we enjoyed playing a bean bag game that was provided, using the BBQ and using the outside deck area!

Date of arrival is inaccurate to maintain anonymity. The downstairs was musty smelling, The pool table was a piece of junk, and the owner was just flat out intrusive. There were a number of other ancillary issues, but keep in mind before you book this one, you really do get what you pay for. Spend the extra money and get a nicer place. We thought this one was kind of creepy.

Can't beat the view from hot tub, house, and camp fire area! Gorgeous sunrise views from two bedrooms, living room, and deck. Plenty of space for our family of 11 to cook and dine together around a huge table. Very well stocked kitchen. Spacious downstairs family room with fireplace was perfect for games, including pool. Owner's description is accurate, and Internet connection is reliable. Fabulous collection of books.
We were surprised to see that the second bathroom is downstairs by game room, not upstairs by bedrooms. But that was not a problem. Another surprise was the narrow spiral staircase from the main floor down to the game room. The owner has installed a secure gate at the top of the staircase. The gate plus the watchful eyes of grown-ups were all we needed to keep everyone safe.
Although the weather didn't permit skiing or sledding, we enjoyed hiking, campfires, and some outdoor games we had taken with us (lawn darts, washers, archery gear). Washer and dryer helped us deal with muddy clothes. Owner phoned and visited to make sure we had all we needed. We hated to leave, and we hope to return.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend in the beginning of December, and it was simply amazing. The house was beautiful, and was even nicer than the pictures showed. The furniture and decorations were perfect and made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. The house was cozy enough for just the two of us, but was also big enough for a larger group. The house itself is located at the end of a long road, so it is isolated and has plenty of privacy. The hot tub is right outside the back door, and offers an amazing scenic view during the day, and is perfect for looking at the stars at night. The surrounding areas are beautiful, and there are a lot of great spots to go for walks in the woods. Roger was a great host, he called us when we got there to make sure everything was ok, and gave us directions to a great town called Calicoon which is about 10 minutes away and very convenient.
In all, it was a great weekend, and we have already recommended this house to friends and family, and are definitely planning on going back again.

My extended family just greatly enjoyed this delightful rental tucked into the hills of the Upper Delaware River. The breathtaking view of the river could be enjoyed from the deck or the hot tub. The house was spacious, comfortable and clean w/ ample amenities. Also private and quiet, thanks to the fact it was at the end of a road. Nearby were plenty of activities: swimming, rafting, hiking or exploring the quaint village of Callicoon. And I feel like we barely scrathed the surface. The owner was helpful and accessible. My 19 year old son at first said he would only stay one night but liked it so much he wound up with us for a week. His conclusion: best family vacation yet.

We enjoyed our stay very much. If you want to get away from it all this is the place. It is up on a mountain at the end of a gravel road and very secluded. The cabin itself is beautiful and comfortable. The owner is attentive and handles any concerns immediately. And yes, you can watch the eagles soaring overhead from the hot tub.

This is a fantastic cabin. Rustic and charming with beautiful attention to detail and great amenities! The owner, Roger, is extremely accommodating and friendly. It's perfect for a couple, but roomy enough for a group of 10. I can't recommend it enough!!

Everything was perfect. Roger was everything the webpage said. I couldn't have been more satisfied. We all had a great time no complaints at all. Can't wait to do it again. Roger thanks for everything!
