This is us in August of 2007 when we arrived on Kauai to look at the property at Waipouli. Owners (Fatima Gomez and Edward Fugate, husband and wife) are with children (from l. to r.) Korina, Kristy, and Isaac. We have always enjoyed traveling, and wanted to pass on this joy with our children. Hawaii seemed like the perfect place to start a family tradition of traveling together to a place we all look forward to going to.
We were looking for property to buy to build equity for our children's college education. We were also looking for a property that we would enjoy going to year after year ourselves, and that the children would grow up feeling it was theirs to take care of and enjoy. The children enjoyed the resort so much, they were very enthusiastic when they were asked if they wanted to go there every year.
