Hale Kai Nani was all we expected and more...

We love the north shore and this is the first time we have rented a house. The property itself is fantastic - great location right on the beach, with lots of garden space to lounge if you are not up for the beach. Updated, clean, convenient. There were only 4 adults, so there was plenty of space for us to spreadout, inside and out. The outdoor shower was an added bonus!

Being able to walk to Ted's bakery everyday was incredibly convenient. We are also avid runners, so having the paved bike trail that starts in the neighborhood which goes almost all the way to Waimea Bay was awesome - covered most of the way and along the beach for a good portion.

Watching surfers and sunsets from the garden wasn't bad either...

We had a spectacular week while staying at Hale Kai Nani!! The house is decorated with such warmth and Hawaiian beauty! The house looks just like the pictures in this posting. No surprises there. The property is beautifully maintained. The gardner came during our stay. The kitchen has high end appliances and a washer and dryer in a separate laundry room! We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor dining room and living room complete with Tiki Torches! The lava bar-b-que was put to use every night. Our cocktail hour was a fun event each night while we waited for another glorious sunset... we saw the Green Flash 4 nights in a row!! Yes, there really is such a thing as the Green Flash! Sitting right there on Sunset Beach couldn't have been better! We took walks on the beach, checked out the tide pools and swam in the ocean. What a relaxing vacation! The surrounding area was loads of fun too!

We had a Great time here! The location was perfect. It was close to everything. The view of the beach from the house was breathtaking. House is very well maintained and you just feel relaxed there. We had so much fun surfing and paddle boarding. We would definitely come back!

We stayed at the Hale Kai Nani for eight glorious nights. The house was immaculate and had all the ameneties we needed. Updated bathroom and kitchen with great appliances. The kitchen also had all you needed to cook meals. The location --- right on Sunset Beach -- was the best part --- fall asleep to the waves, it's just unbelievable. The air conditioning in the master wasn't working, but we had wonderful breezes throughout the day and night and we were fine without it. The outdoor shower was a big plus -- although it was getting repaired on our last 3 days there so we didn't have access to it. But Bonnie was doing everything she could to get it fixed. Bonnie -- the property manager - was terrific...brought real "Aloha". Jenny (owner) was terrific to deal with regarding the contract. Very professional and very responsive and you can tell she takes great care in the keeping the home and landscaping in excellent condition. The lanai is a wonderful sanctuary ----- grilled and ate dinner on the lanai, watched the sun set on very comfortable furniture, nothing better. Hale Kai Nani is more than we would ordinarily spend, but we will save up to stay here again.

The house and location are incredible! We spent a lot of our time in the house resting up, but it was very comfortable. Air-conditioning was important to us and at Hale Kai Nani it worked very well. Our stay was somewhat like being at home ,except for the exceptional view. We cooked several meals there and everything we needed was provided. All the appliances are high end and were nice to use. The house is just so comfortable. We were into our second week in Hawaii and were in need of some downtime. The televisions in each bedroom were also greatly appreciated. We have three kids and each was able to satisfy their own tastes while Momma and myself could sit outside and enjoy the beautifully landscaped and maintained yard, making it hard to want to go anywhere or do anything. If we did, all we had to do was walk down ten stairs and we were on Sunset Beach ! It just can't get any better than that.
Bonnie is a valuable asset too. She was most helpful in suggesting shopping and eating options. I'm sure she would have taken care of any problems at the house if there had been any.She was very pleasant to visit with.
Hale Kai Nani was exceptionally clean when we arrived. We had stayed in two houses previously, and they had left a little to be desired. This place was definitely a level above them in everything.
Hopefully in the future we can come back and stay a couple of weeks here. It would probably be very hard to leave if that happened. I would recommend Hale Kai Nani to anyone who wants a cozy and very comfortable place to stay at one of the best locations on the North Shore area and right on Sunset Beach. This has to be one of the best !

We love Hawaii and have visited many times, usually at resorts. But for this trip we were celebrating an important family event and wanted something special. We were not disappointed.

The house has all the finest amenities, but it's secret weapon is its location. You are literally, right on the beach with a view of surfers 80 yards out for most of the day. It is about 200 yards from Sunset Beach. Very few beach-goers come all the way down, so it has the feel of a private beach.

The grounds are meticulously cared for, with several 50-foot swaying palm trees (that are lit beautifully each evening). We enjoyed the outdoor lava-rock barbeque, and ate dinner on the covered lanai with friends. The master bedroom is oriented such that the bed faces the ocean. We slept each evening with the windows wide open, coaxed to sleep by the waves that were breaking just yards from the house.

World-class restaurants and golf at Turtle Bay, 5 minutes drive away. 15 minutes to Polynesian Cultural Center. And there is a lovely bakery and deli just 5 minutes walk away.

Would I stay here again? Without a doubt. The price was more than I have usually paid when visiting Hawaii, but the experience was so spectacular for the entire family that we will definitely return.

"Perfect location, perfect accomodation and Bonnie was brilliant! We loved having lazy evenings barbequing and sipping cocktails on the beautiful veranda. The beaches were all fabulous-Pipeline with its cooling breezes, Sunset with its balmy water and Waimea Bay with its pristine azure beauty...it's easy to see why the sailor on the Bounty/Cooke thought islands like this were paradise!

"We all had such a wonderful time on our first visit to Hawaii. This house is wonderful! Beautiful beach, flowers and sea glass to collect. I loved listening to the ocean at night. North Shore Shark Adventures was a blast! The luau at the Sea Life Park was a lot of fun and the snorkling in front of the house was awesome! I wish we had more time. Riding around on the coast was breathtaking.
I would love to come back in the future and stay in this lovely home.
