One of the best locations in the Firebird development, the view from this unit is the pretty side yard (see photo). An excellent location puts you close to all the major attractions.

About The Owner

We live in the Washington DC suburbs of Fairfax, VA. Like every family, our life is busy with work, kids, school, sports, scouts, activities... We look forward to every trip we make to Myrtle Beach so we can relax and forget the quick pace of our everyday life.

I grew up in upstate NY, dreaded those long winters and cherished the summer. My husband grew up on the Mediterranean Sea and being close to the water is part of his DNA. In Myrtle Beach it seems like summer all the time, the climate is mild in winters, perfect in spring and fall, and glorious in summer.

We go to Myrtle Beach several times a year, including a few weeks in the summer, and we never tire of it. Each time we pack and go we are excited about what we will do and new restaurants we will try. There is so much variety and vast amount of things to do we never run out of new things; we actually make lists on our drive down so we can prioritize. We still have so much we want to do.

The Owner purchased this townhome in 2005
Why The Owner chose Firebird

We spent lots of time at beaches closer to DC, but found them crowded and very expensive. We explored Myrtle Beach over a long weekend, and fell in love. With miles and miles of ocean, we feel like we are the only people here sometimes. We can sit for hours on the beach reading, talking and just looking out. We always dreamed of having a home and a life at the beach. We are fortunate to spend part of our time here and really know the area.

What makes this townhome unique

Since we are so close, we love walking to the ocean after dinner and then stopping for ice cream. The beach is empty at dusk and the sky has streaks of pink and blue, the warm breeze blows through your hair and we feel happy just being quite for a while. Our home is located near everything, and yet is a quiet development. Parking out front steps away from the front door makes trips, shopping, etc so much easier. Our home is clean, bright, and comfortable...we spend time there too and devote time, money and energy to keep it looking good. Our home is spacious..two big bedroms, private bathrooms, good size living room, a fully stocked kitchen helps make a family vacation truly enjoyable. The house is big enough so that we don't feel crowded; the kids play outside or go upstairs to read. Yet it is cozy, I can cook while the family is playing games. We go golfing, play games, swim and do so many other things we don't normally have the time to do. Time here really helps us reconnect and reenergize.

"Location and Comfort all in One"
The unit was clean and the location was within walking distance to the restaurants, minature golf and the beach was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and got to bring our pet with us. I would highly recommend this for families and seniors like us. It's quiet and the good part is you can walk to everything. I want to thank you for sharing your place with us. Looking forward to returning back again next fall.

my family and i were very pleased with the overall experience firebird #5. the home was clean and equipped with everything we needed. only a short walk to the beach, restaurants, mini golf, gift shops. angelo's italian restaurant which is right at the corner was great.
the staff at southern coast were terriffic.
cannot wait to come back next year.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

"We had a wonderful week in this rental. It was clean and tastefully furnished. It is a short walk to a wonderful beach and swimming pool at a beautiful hotel that you are able to use. It is convenient to any of the other activities that Myrtle Beach has to offer. There are plenty of restaurants close by and you are just outside of the main business district for Myrtle Beach. We would definitely come back to this rental next time we were in town."

"This rental is well located. It is just a short walk to the beach but away from the commercial "beach strip". Many restaurants, stores, churches, etc. are within a 5-10 minute drive. The unit is nicely furnished with many amenities. A big plus is that it is pet friendly. We've stayed there twice and will likely do so again."

"We recently rented this property at the end of June. This place was beautifully decorated and clean. We had everything we could possibly need for a week long stay. It was a short walk to the beach and was in the best location. Couldn't have asked for more and would highly recommend it to anyone. Will stay again, no question about it!!!"

"We were really pleased with the townhouse. We were so surprised with the cleanliness of our accomodations and how well maintained the house and property were. All of our neighbors were really friendly and we had no problem with noise or any disturbance. Everything was there when we arrived, we didn't have to shop for anything but our food. We will definitely pick Firebird for our next vacation to Myrtle Beach."
