SUNSTONE LODGE: This 5 bedroom suite (each bedroom has private bath)has spectacular views of the mountains in National Park. Renovated with new up-scale furnishings, hardwood floors and décor. Add some character to your mountain retreat you will call home for a few days with hand painted murals scattered throughout the Chalet which is sure to bring unexpected surprises. This Chalet has it all, full kitchen, two sitting areas, TV's, washer/dryer,game room with pool table and foosball table, hot tub on screened porch, lage yard for football/other sports and sometimes cub bears play in the back yard (see video) . HANDICAP accessible on main level. Please take time to look at the videos, one of the Chalet and one of the bear cubs playing in my back yard, just click on Links & Videos above.

LOCIATION, LOCIATION, LOCIATION, best of all worlds, very private at top of mountain, yet conveniently located, just 10 min to Gatlinburg & National Park, 5 min to ski slopes, 15 min to Pigeon Foge, Dllywood and entertainment. Owner takes a lot of pride in making this up-scale Chalet an unforgettable and enjoyable vacation.

About The Owner

I am a retired Banker, currently living in Birmingham, Al. After looking at over 40 Cabins and Chalets we fell in love with Sunsotne on the first visit because it had large rooms, each bedroom had a private bath, beautiful views of the mountains, private, yet convenient to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the National Park. It also has a yard for children to play, very few Chalets has a yard. We have renovated Sunstone with Hardwood Floors, Granite Cab tops and stainless appliances. Sunstone is an up-scale Chalet. Most of our business is repeat customers. If we can rent to them one time they usually come back, some have been back 7 years in a row.

The Owner purchased this chalet in 2006
Why The Owner chose Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg area. We like the privacy and yet very convenient to Gatlinburg, National Park and Pigeon Forge. We fell in love with the Chalet and the view of the Mountains.

What makes this chalet unique

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise over the mountains. Large rooms, plenty of space for 10 to 12 people and we do not feel cramped. All of the ammenities, hot tub, sauna, pool table, foosball table, game/media room,and breath taking views from all rooms. This is as close to heaven as it gets.

Beautiful home!

This home was gorgeous and very well kept. It looked just exactly like the pictures online! The view was breathtaking. We really enjoyed sitting out on the porch and taking in the view of the mountains. The home was spacious and our grandchildren really enjoyed the game room. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. We had to change our date due to our son's military schedule and he was VERY accommodating. He really seemed to care and wanted our stay to be a good experience. I would highly recommend this property to friends and relatives!

Family Get Together

Our family get together consisted of my husband and I, our youngest son, our daughter-in-law, their three daughters (ages 12, 7 and 3) and our daughter-in-law's parents. I must say that there was more than ample room for all, excellent accommodations, more than enough kitchen and dining facilities (all we had to do was bring food). Our gracious host called several times to see that all was going well. The pictures online attracted me to this accommodation and in reality it was many times better. Actually, this is Number One in my book of many accommodations.

Great House!

This house was fantastic. It worked out great for everyone in our party. It was very, very clean and spacious. The kids loved the basement and had a great time playing foosball and pool. My parents had a very lovely first floor bedroom that was wheelchair accessible as well. We were easily able to park 3 cars in the driveway, and probably could have had more there without a problem. I loved waking to the sunrise from my bedroom window each morning. Wish I were still there!

Wonderful get-away!

Stayed at Sunstone for a girls weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Beautiful home with plenty of room to move around. Everyone had their own bedroom and bath which was fantastic. I would highly recommend Sunstone - perfect for a family get together as well!

Absolutely perfect

My family and I stayed President's Day weekend, and it was absolutely perfect. The scenery to and from, the great details and decor, and the space = perfection. We had snowfall the last night of our stay and the scenery of the snowfall in the mountains was amazing. Thank you! We'll definitely be back!

Excellent/Luxury Cabin

Our group had 12 people in it and we were very comfortable in this cabin. It is located 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge. The property has all the amenities a group would need for a stay in the mountains. The owner was very accommodating and made sure that we had a great stay. Would rent this cabin again in future visits to Gatlinburg.

Second Time Around

This was not our first time to stay at Sunstone Lodge. It was our second time and it was still as beautiful as before. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful house. It is an awesome place to stay with family or friends. It is well equipped with everything you could ask for. I love staying on Ski Mountain and this is the perfect place to stay. Once you stay here you will not want to stay anywhere else. VEIWS?The views are absolutely awesome!! Hope to be back same time next year!

Absolutely beautiful - we have rented several cabins & this one is by far the most beautiful - such an attention to detail.

Lovely place

We take a lot of time researching vacation rentals, we really liked everything we read about this place and it definitely met our expectations. In addition to 8 adults we also had 2 children under 2 with us with plenty of room, the one thing we missed was finding a place to rent cribs. The murals are wonderful, my grandson kept trying to figure out how to walk into the one downstairs. This is the first time we had a screened in porch, awesome. The best part of this vacation was being able to be all together in one place, to eat at the same table and play games together. I would definitely recommend this property to others. We really liked the apron on top as one of the guests wasn't comfortable getting her car down the driveway. Jack works through a company down in Gatlinburg but I did call him when doing the research and he was very helpful and patient with all my questions, whether by phone or email. Some things we would recommend: Parrot Mountain, aquarium (pricey but we really had fun) grandkids loved both of them and ziplining at CanopyWorks for adults, Best restaurant we ate at was Old Mill Cafe and Grill, liked it so much better than Old Mill or AppleBarn.
