My husband, three year old daughter and I spent four nights in a Tulemar bungalow with a beautiful view of the ocean and tropical lushness on all sides. This was the conclusion of a 2.5 week visit to Costa Rica and what a great way to end our first trip to the country!

We thoroughly enjoyed Tulemar. Favorite memories include swimming and lounging at the family pool (enjoying mixed drinks, super fresh fish sandwiches from the grill at lunchtime); hanging out at the lovely beach (using the kayaks, watching the squirrel monkeys cavort in the trees, spotting lizards and hermit crabs with my daughter); and our dinners at Kapi Kapi and Ronnie's place.

We went during the rainy season and expected daily rain, and were quite lucky to have some rain-free days and generally lovely weather. The grounds were lovely, we loved our occasional sitings of sloths, a coati, lizards, and monkeys. The staff were uniformly friendly, genuinely warm, and very helpful. Though all spoke English well, they were also happy to help me practice my Spanish.

Chris, our excellent concierge, drove me to the grocery store for provisions on our first day and helped with any and all details throughout the stay, setting up restaurant and taxi reservations, and checking in periodically to make sure we had all that we needed. And David, who manages the beach front, was very helpful and kind.

We hiked to the beach on the south trail on our second day and since my husband was carrying our daughter in the carrier, used the very convenient Tulemar shuttle van to take us down and back from then on.

We highly recommend Tulemar and hope to return in the not too distant future!

Our family of 4, stayed in Bungalow #121 in Tulemar for a week in August. David and Chris made us feel relaxed, comfortable, and on top of that, special. I couldn't believe it when we went out to eat one night and the server brought us a dessert plate that was from David at Tulemar. Tulemar itself is beautiful, the grounds are well maintained, we loved the pools, they were never crowded and always clean. We saw sloths, 2 kinds of monkeys, Morphe butterflies, iguanas just to name a few. We took advantage of the kayaks and went out snorkeling on the rocks a few times. There were a lot of beautiful fish to enjoy out there. On the beach we could get out of the sun if we wanted and relax under the trees in the shade. The kids insisted on mango smoothies at the beach and I couldn't resist, they were too good and the bartender was always kind and courteous. We went deep sea fishing out of Quepos, we did the 10 in 1 tour with ADR Adventures (highly recommend), toured Manuel Antonio National Park, and a mangrove tour with Jade Tours (again highly recommend Mario), all easy to get to from Tulemar. There were a lot of restaurants nearby, on nights when we were exhausted we easily got pizza deliveried. Really a perfect, no stress, vacation full of beautiful wildlife, fresh fruits and fish in a tropical paradise. Loved Tulemar!

The accommodations were absolutely beautiful. The private beach was the best beach I've ever visited (and I live on the California coast). The staff was welcoming, pleasant, and knowledgeable. I will re-visit the Manuel Antonio area and definitely stay at the Tulemar Bungalows.

We so enjoyed our 3 nights at Tulemar! The property is gorgeous and the bungalows are spacious with amazing 360 degree views. You are assigned a concierge when you arrive and our concierge, Chris was so warm and helpful. He really went out of his way to make sure we were well cared for. The best part of Tulemar is the property has it's own private beach where you can have lunch, body board, or just lay in the sun. Also every morning you can see monkeys if you go for an early morning walk. We were delighted to see a troupe of white faced monkeys climbing all over the bungalows one morning. It was a memorable and wonderful experience. Also the hamburger at the beach is de-licious! Def worth a try!

My wife and I went stayed here during our honeymoon for a week and it was awesome. We booked through Ed at www.1tulemar.com and it was the best decision. Our concierge was Chris and he was the best. He took care of everything for us, showed us which restaurants to go to and what activities to do. He booked everything for us and even found a chef to come cook a private a dinner for me and my wife. We stayed in one of the Bungalows and we loved it. They are great and spacious and also have a great view of the beach. Speaking of the beach, it was great to be able to take a nice walk down to a beach that wasn't too crowded. There are kayaks, boogie boards there for you to have fun with and you can also enjoy a great breakfast and lunch at the beach. Quepos is a great little town and very safe, we walked around the town with no issues, all of the locals are nice. Overall it is a great place to stay if you are planning a vacation, whether it be for couples, solo or in groups. The price was great and it's definitely the best place to stay if you are in Quepos. Great zip lines and Manuel Antonio national park is also a great tour to stay. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely do it again!

Wow!!! We loved this place! The views, location, and amenities were amazing. We traveled with our kids (ages 10 and 8) and they loved it. Stayed in one of the more simple bungalows and while there was no outdoor deck, we still enjoyed the sunset and views every night. The views are amazing. We saw a bunch of monkeys, sloths (including baby sloths!) right from our bungalow! We walked to Cafe Milagro every day for breakfast (great breakfast). You will love this place. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

The Tulemar Bungalows provided the perfect Costa Rica vacation experience. The bungalows themselves are large, clean and have amazing ocean views. There are monkeys and other wildlife everywhere. The private beach is one of the biggest perks of staying here. It is a beautiful beach where you can boogie board, kayak, snorkel, swim, etc. and there are hiking trails on the property. Even though the beaches are great in the national park, we preferred the private beach.
