We stayed at the property for a quick last-minute getaway this winter. I only had about a week notice, but we were able to get the arrangements all squared away in about three days without too much trouble. The property was very nice and cozy, and we stayed around the fireplace and outdoor spa for most of the time.
Everything was very clean and organized and the place had a lodge-like feel to it. The area around the cottage was very nice - it's only a quick drive or walk down to the dunes, and there are a bunch of amazing "houses of the future" along the beachfront.
The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed to eat, so we cooked everything there and didn't dine out during our two days. I would definately recommend this property to a friend, and I would like to come back again in the summer when the beach is open and it's nice enough to walk around outside.

We had a great time during our stay. It snowed a bit while we were there, but it was still nice enough to check out the great houses on the beach and relax in the spa. I'll definately be looking to come back again in the summer when we can actually go in the water and enjoy the beach. Overall, a really good time and a nice place.

Hello! Just wanted to say that we had a fabulous time at your cottage. The place was cozy and clean and we enjoyed having a nice place to get together.
It was too hot to try out the hot tub or fireplace but maybe another time. I think everyone was in agreement that we would love to come back again. No problem about your Dad calling, we totally understand. Thanks again!

We LOVED our stay at the shores. The cottage is wonderful, and provided everthing we needed to have a relaxing, pleasant stay. We enjoyed a train trip into Chicago one day to see the sights. The beach was sandy, clean, and close to the cottage. Thank you Mary and Mary for providing a wonderful escape for families to enjoy! We look forward to booking the cottage again.

We really enjoyed your relaxing cottage by Lake Michigan. It had everything we needed for a week away from home. Washer/dryer, kitchen with all utensils, barbaque grill, hot tub, beach and train to Chicago only a few blocks away. All my day visitors from Illinois liked it also. If we plan a vacation to the dunes area again we would choose "the shores".

Thank you for providing the perfect home away from home feeling with the charm and coziness of your cottage. From the beach, mall, water park and hot tub we had something to do each day. The weather was awesome each day and we were able to see incredible sunsets. We will return because one daughter was unable to come and I had to call her each day to tell her how beautiful it was. Our pupppy's first trip to the beach..

your vacation rental was great. We live in Chicago and it's great to have a few days to unwind in such a peaceful, comfortable place. The beds were just right, as was the spa. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, cups, bowls, etc, and we enjoyed the board games (especially Othello).
We biked every day--great biking, especially for kids.
My son and I also enjoyed the short walk to the beach every day--he made a lot of friends there. Plus the beach and water were cleaner and less crowded than the beaches at the Michigan places we went to---not to mention the beaches in Chicago.
We'll be back!

What a wonderful time we had! a 4 night stay that took the edge off of all of us! My self, husband and 2 girls ( 4 1/2, 13 mos) felt right at home! We had everything we needed right there for us. Even movies for the girls! What a lovely place to stay! Hope to return !
