This property was perfect for our family. We have two teenage children - boy and girl, and the layout of this house was ideal with each bedroom having it's own bath. Lauren has not overlooked a single detail in making this the best possible vacation rental - luxury sheets and towels, comfortable beds, large showers, and every room tastefully and comfortably decorated.

The kitchen was state-of-the-art and had everything we needed to to cook meals, but we did very little cooking and opted to dine out at the fantastic restaurants that were within walking distance, bike ride or a short drive of the cottage. Still, it was nice to have a good coffee pot for daily use and a well stocked kitchen for the few times that we did prepare meals.

We spent lots of time around and in the beautiful pool, which was heated to the perfect temperature. The landscaping and water wall make you feel very secluded, but just outside the gate is Gulf Street and access to the beach.

It was hard to say goodbye to Sunset Cottage and Anna Maria after a truly wonderful week. We look forward to returning again soon!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunset Cottage. Calling it a cottage is a misnomer. It is a well appointed home away from home. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all we needed, the pool was refreshing, and the location was perfect!! We have already rebooked for next year. My only request for Lauren would be to possibly get a few beach chairs for her guests to use.

Our family just returned from a wonderful stay at this home. The home was perfect for the four of us (2 adults, 1 4 yo girl and 1 2 yo boy). I feel that 6 people could stay there comfortably. The house was stocked with everything you need - toiletries, dish soap, paper towels, etc. there were even night lights and step ladders which made the stay easier on the kids. The only drawback was there is no bathtub. All 3 bathrooms have beautiful tiled showers but our children have always taken baths. We got through it but it was an adjustment. :) AMI is a wonderful island and this home is right in the middle of the island so it's a quick drive to each of the 3 towns. Very close to the beach and the private pool was a favorite feature!

We are a group of 4 childhood friends from Gainesville that meet up once a year for our annual "Girls Gone Wild Getaway" so we are very well accustomed to VRBO's and let me tell you this was one of the best ever for many reasons. Our group is spread all over now. One living in Norway, one in Albuquerque, one in Atlanta and one die-hard in Gainesville. We have spent a lot of years at Amelia Island, but decided to give Anna Maria Island a try again after many years. Easy airport pick-up/connections is important to us and Tampa airport was a breeze to get in and out of. Lauren's "cottage" (fabulous 3 bedroom/3 bath with pool!) was just an easy hour away from the airport...and well worth it.

This area is a LOT better than the Tampa/Clearwater Bay area..much more laid back and no high rise condos. Her place was wonderful and as others have mentioned, the pictures do not do it justice. Very clean, very well-appointed...absolutely no problems or negative remarks. Rooms were lovely and spacious and 3 bathrooms for 4 girls was a dream come true! I was a little afraid that we would be "far from the beach", as I have always insisted on a beachfront property in previous years. No worries here. Very small walk to an uncrowded lovely beach and what a pleasure to come back to our own private pool, outdoor dining area and grill...great change from a small balcony and public pool areas. November can be a difficult time in Florida weatherwise, but this part of the state almost always has great weather at this time and definitely more stable than Amelia Island this time of year. So..Lauren..thanks to you. You have a lovely place and all the improvements you are putting in are just going to make it better! We would definitely consider coming back again.

From the moment I walked onto the lushly landscaped property, I was in paradise! The photos online scarcely do this place justice. From the perfectly folded LaCoste towels and flawlessly made beds to the beautiful, yet cozy, family area and well-equipped kitchen, everything was just perfect. Much of my family joined me at Sunset since it sleeps so many people comfortably (we slept 12 a few nights). The kids absolutely loved the pool with the bubbling jets in the shallow end (located conveniently right by the very adult-friendly umbrella'd cocktail table). We had a silly question about the pool so we called Lauren, the owner. Not only was she very helpful but she wasn't at all bothered. Guess that explains the overwhelming hospitality that Sunset exudes.

Having stayed countless times on Anna Maria, I've always loved it, but those 10 nights at Sunset Cottage were the best ever. Absolute perfection. Wish I could give 10 stars! Thanks, Lauren!

This cottage is absolute perfection. The location, the decor, the pool, the owner.....the list goes on and on. Everything exceeded our expectations. We rent through VRBO quite often and this was by far our favorite rental yet. Lauren, the owner, was warm and welcoming. She has set up this cottage to anticipate the every need of its' guests.
