Old Lyme House Rental Photos and Description
Lovely home in the Old Lyme Shores private beach community

This is a great place for a family vacation, or a couples weekend. The house has 4 bedrooms, and a pull out bed to allow for a maximum of 10 people.

Besides having a great beach 3 blocks from the house and many outdoor activities, the house is about 30 minutes for the famous gambling and entertainment of Fox-woods and Mohegan Sun. Many great restaurants with live music and places to visit such as the Griswold Museum which is 4 miles in the town of Old Lyme.

Our stay at this beach house in Old Lyme was so much fun. We loved that there was ample parking and the yard was so big. The house fit us all nicely and is very private and away from the crowds but yet close enough to walk to the beach and to the main drag where the carousel, arcade and ice cream are. We would spend a good amount of time at the beach then walk home and have a nice barbeque. The best part for me was that there is so much fantastic kayaking to do in the Rivers and in the Sound ... all within minutes from the house. We also spent a day at nearby Mystic Seaport and at Mystic Aquarium. Don't forget the bikes, too. My kids love spending their down time bike riding around the neighborhood. Another day we explored the town of Essex which is an adorable, old fashioned New England seaport town. The time went so fast we need to go back and explore some more... especially the kayaking! Thanks, Mike, for making everything so easy.
Owner's Response: We are grateful that the family took the time to review their stay last year and we are pleased they had a good time and took advantage of the many things the area has to offer.
