What a great apartment

I loved this apartment. It's bright and airy, plenty of room, and so well located. 5 minutes from the Pompadiue centre, and a Metro station, it's in the exciting Marais part of Paris. The apartment was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was reasonably well stocked with utensils, though I did have to go buy a grater. The coffee machine was a lovely touch, as I could go get supplies from the nearby boulangeries and have breakfast.
The things you need to be aware of:
There is no washing machine, but the laundromat is only 5 minutes walk away.
It is on the third floor with no lift, which wasn't an issue for me. If you have heavy bags and can't carry them far, this may not be for you.
There is no radio or CD player, but a good size TV.
The owners were just lovely and eager to assist, sorting out a taxi when I needed one and answering question via email when I asked.
The street is very narrow and one way, so at times could be loud, and there was construction work going on. I had to close the windows at times to shut out the noise.

We couldn't have been more pleased to rent and stay in this apartment. The listing is quite accurate and in some respects doesn't do the apartment justice. As described, it is in a charming historic building, which despite its age is quite secure (you need a code for the outside door at the street, a second different code for the inside door to the stairwell to the apartment, AND then a key to get into the apartment). The apartment itself has been completely and sensibly renovated, is quite nicely furnised, was scrupulously clean, and has a large full bathroom. It also has a compact but nicely equipped kitchen; I like to cook, and though it has no oven, I found the kitchen to be very well appointed, with two electric burners, a microwave, and decent cooking knives, as well as a dishwasher and a deceptively spacious under-counter fridge. It's exceptionally well located just a short walk to the Rambuteau Metro stop to the northwest, which obviates the need for many a taxi ride; in fact, we like to walk, and found we could make it from the apartment to restaurants on the Left Bank in about 30 minutes. And of course it's only a few blocks east to reach the many restaurants, bars and shops that comprise the heart of the Marais, one of the most interesting and diverting of Paris' arrondissements. Owners Yael and David communicated promptly, arrived when agreed to meet us, and were quite professional and easy to deal with. The only potential downsides (and to us these were almost inconsequential) were that it is on the French 3rd (American 4th floor) and is a walk-up, and that we did very occasionally hear some late-night revelers who were passing by in the street below. But the street noise didn't happen frequently during our stay (which lasted 9 days), and the stairs helped us keep at bay any extra pounds from that great French food and wine (or so we told ourselves). Overall we'd be very happy to rent this lovely little apartment again for our next stay, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others among our friends and relatives who wouldn't have trouble navigating the stairs. Many thanks to our landlords for helping to make this part of our Paris stay so pleasant and so memorable.

Beatiful Space

This is a wonderful location for seeing the sights of Paris, and a relaxing space to spend time indoors (as we were forced to do, thanks to an unexpected March blizzard). The bathroom is probably the most beautiful one I've seen in Paris. Yael is super helpful and available if there are any problems day or night. One thought: it might be nice to have a better reading lamp in the bedroom. The one that is in there is nice, but it doesn't provide enough light for reading. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely Apartment

This apartment is lovely. It is super clean, roomy, modern and in a great location. It is also well stocked and the shower has great water pressure. There is a big closet in the bedroom which makes unpacking a breeze. Yael made booking the apartment from the United States very easy and was there to meet us when we arrived. She was helpful and responsive. For example, we did not have a hair dryer and she immediately produced one for us.
The apartment overlooks the street and it can be a bit noisy at night. However, all the good aspects of the apartment far outweigh the street noise.

I would suggest one thing: a second lamp for the bedroom. Perhaps a standing lamp in one of the corners?

Rent without hesitation!
Owner's Response: Eileen and Katherine, Thank a lot for your message !! It was nice to meet you too
Happy New Year again !

The apartmen is flawless. Very clean and tidy, WIFI was very good, location as well, big bathroom (sty difficult to find in Paris). We are very happy to have chosen this apartment. The street is not the best one, but is safe and Le Marais is a great location. I will be back and choose the same apartment.

It was more pleasant then I imagined

Let me start off by saying if you don't know Paris, the apartment is in probably the coolest and most accessible area in the city. So the apartment is very good for the price. The apartment is exactly how it looks in pictures. Yael and Davids office is on the street level of the apartment and they were more then happy to help out with anything I requested. They will forever be the only people I rent from in Paris. Be prepared though. The wifi was a bit spotty at times, but works if you reset it most of the time. Also shut your windows at night; Parisians like to party until 5 in the morning and this is a very cool neighborhood in which they love to sing song at the top of their lungs together at crazy hours in the morning. It really wont matter if your windows are closed though. I do mean all the stars i have the review and you will too.
Owner's Response: Thank you very much, it was a pleasure meeting you !!
