Ocean breezes sweep this airy two story home, directly across the street from the beach with ocean view. Entering this 2 story home on ground level finds 2 BRs (1 w/queen & 1 w/2 twin) sharing bathroom w/ tub/shower, double sink. Upstairs a sunny great room awaits with desk w/internet, living room sitting 6+ comfortably, bay window with ocean views. Kitchen stocked for beach home living, from pots & pans to blender & wine glasses. Over the double sink is a counter bar for easy serving while enjoying ocean views over full dining table & sliding glass doors to balcony. King Master suite has walk-in stone shower, garden tub and separate toilet room. Cross the street for 13 miles of beach, or drive 10 min to Fernandina Beach historic district, antique shops, restaurants and bars, Fort Clinch museum, golf, boating, fishing, horseback, etc. After the beach enjoy outdoor hot shower to wash off sand (& kids) before going inside! Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and sand toys.

Amelia Island has 13 miles of pristine beaches. It is a beach vacation to get away from it all - there is little night life in terms of 'south beach. Perfect for young families, honeymooners who want to get away together, or folks who just want to relax. Yet, the location is accessible to all shopping and has fabulous restaurants nearby. But if you want to plant yourself somewhere and escape - just bring groceries - the home has everything you need to hardly ever leave - and if you forgot anything one of 4 grocery stores is a 10 minute drive away.

There are many state parks nearby in addition to the miles of beach. Fort Clinch, with the fort from the 1800s restored is great to see. Much wildlife to see on various hiking trails.

Water activities include chartering a boat, sunset cruises, cruises to see sea life and wild horses, fishing - deep sea, pier and shore, surfing.

Fernandina Municipal Public Golf course is regardeded as one of the finest in the southeast - 5 min drive away.

Dining: From the Ritz Carlton restaurant 'Salt' 15 min drive south to romantic restaurants in downtown historic district 15 minute drive north to the casual bar/restaurant walking distance from our home - there is everything you could want for an island getaway.

Shopping: There is quaint local shopping in the historic downtown Fernandina Beach and other places on the island. There is Town Center, one hour drive away in Jacksonville, which has every shop imaginable if you are staying a long time. Supermarkets, walmart and pharmacies are on the island.

3 TV's one in living room and one in each of downstairs bedrooms. Upstairs living room tv has full cable channels - downstairs basic. There is internet connection to plug in your laptop if you bring one.

Unbelievable place! GORGEOUS!!!

When my wife showed me this place online, I was honestly a bit concerned since it was priced more competitively than other houses with fewer features. I held my tongue, but remained skeptical until we arrived.

Words and pictures do not do this amazing place justice!

The house was spotless, well-furnished, and in a beautiful location. I'm a bit of a cheapskate, but after this experience, I've converted. The few bucks we'd have saved on hotel vacation could not have been better spent. The couple who joined us gave my wife a thousand (well deserved) kudos for finding this gem, and will be our go-to spot for subsequent Florida vacations.

This place felt like a second home, and turned a good vacation into one of my favorites.

Comfortable,Clean and everything you need!

I stayed at this wonderful home and was impressed by the little details that the owner supplied. The house was immaculate, and well maintained. There were coolers, fishing rods and even boogie boards for our kids.We prepared meals as well as visiting the great local eateries. I highly recommend this to my friends, and will make this my weekly annual vacation home.

I just want to make it clear to future guests that we do NOT supply fishing rods or boogie boards. There are sand toys galore, and a cooler, and beach chairs and an umbrella. I believe you stayed with two other couples and I truly appreciate the kind review, but one of those couples had the fishing rods and boogie boards. What a wonderful place to stay! So glad we found this home located right across the street from the beach. We have visited Amelia for several years now with our family and loved the location of this home. It was in the middle of everything with great access to the beach. The pictures on this site do not do this home justice. The size of the home was great for families with children, all the kids stayed downstairs while the master was located upstairs for the adults. This will be our new yearly vacation home, thanks so much!
