On a quiet one-way lane in the Casa East section of Key West is a home that will take your breath away with its astonishing attention to detail, creative use of space and incredibly high level of craftsmanship. This home was conceived and built by Michael Miller, a local architect who has gained fame for his brilliant tropical home designs.

THE LIVING AREA...

The front foyer is open and airy. To your left is the first floor bedroom wing. To your right is the living area, which has a row of French doors that bring the trade winds through the entire house. The open plan has been perfectly executed to maximize your enjoyment of this stunning home. If you watch TV, you’ll be glad to know that there is a 50-inch flat screen TV (one of three in the house). The dining table seats six, and three more can be seated at the kitchen bar. The powder room is tucked discreetly around the corner from the foyer.

THE GOURMET KITCHEN...

A master chef would be happy to work in this kitchen with its top-of-the-line appliances, from its granite counter tops and custom wood cabinets to the Sub-Zero refrigerator, gas range and 200-bottle wine cooler. The bar is perfect for the so-called sous-chefs to kibitz.

THE BACK PORCH & POOL AREA...

As you enter the back courtyard, the burbling waterfall is a soothing backdrop to this little piece of heaven. A large shady porch makes the idea of outdoor dining seem irresistible. There is even a separate porch area with bar stools around a high top table. You can walk down the stairs into the pool for a relaxing cool-off, and you can readily find sun or shade to your preference, with plenty of room for everyone. Around the side of the house is a private outdoor shower. As you spend some time here, you begin to realize that every part of this courtyard has been painstakingly designed to make the most of the environment. After that, you’ll just relax and enjoy this peaceful outdoor space that someone else has worked very hard to achieve. (Backyard yoga classes are optional).

THE MEDIA ROOM & WIDOW'S WALK...

Upstairs, you can go outside and climb the spiral stairs to a widow’s walk; a great place to sit under the stars with good friends. Or you open the door to a media room that is completely separate from the bedrooms. You’ll be able to watch late night TV on a 50-inch flat screen TV to your heart’s content while sitting in one of the reclining chairs or reclining couch.

THE ACCOMMODATIONS...

The first master suite is on the first floor, with a king bed, flat screen TV, overhead fan and French doors to a private deck. The alcove to the en-suite bathroom contains a private kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher and wet bar. The private bathroom has a custom shower and a French door directly to the pool area. The first of two Washer/Dryers is nearby.

The second bedroom is in the sumptuous guest cottage, with a queen bed, flat screen TV, vaulted ceiling and French doors on three sides, including a separate porch facing the pool. The bathroom is, of course, en-suite.

The third bedroom is on the second floor, with two twin beds that convert to a king bed, flat screen TV and en-suite bathroom with over-sized shower. In the hallway is a laundry room with the second Washer/Dryer, folding counter and even a microwave for late night snacks.

Last but not least is the Owner’s Suite, a spacious bedroom with an impressive four-poster king bed, overhead fan, 50-inch flat screen TV and three sets of French doors that oversee the lushly landscaped back yard. The huge walk-in closet will accommodate any wardrobe. The en-suite master bathroom is a work of art, with a Jacuzzi that will accommodate two, twin vanities, and a custom shower with skylight.

If you ever decide to pull yourself away from this wonderful home, you’ll find that you are in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from the hustle and bustle of Old Town. Perfect place to relax and unwind

What a beautiful property. The outdoor area is stunning and perfect for relaxing. The property is wonderfully furnished and comfortable with a layout that gives lots of privacy. Being in a quiet area was a plus and so was the ample parking at the house. Last Key is wonderful to work with and Shel (our property manager contact) is a sweetheart, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this property and Last Key Realty. Lots of info provided on restaurants, etc. We recommend The Little Room jazz bar on Duval, Fran is the best. Also the bar at 2 Cent Restaurant -- how awesome is bacon as a bar snack! (the food is great too!). Can't wait to return to Key West next year.

AMAZING!! From the moment you pull up in the cab from the airport, and step out on to the curb, the curb appeal this vacation home shows is unbelievable. The pictures on the site just can't do it justice. You will have to see it for yourself. You walk up the stamped concrete sidewalk to the main entrance of the house. You walk into the foyer and begin to look at the open floor plan of this beautiful home. The open concept that his home has makes it easy to entertain us all. It has all of the top quality furniture, appliances, fixtures, and decor. With the french doors leading out to the backyard, you will find a gorgeous pool with waterfall, amazing ladscapes highlighted at night with low voltage landscape lighting. Sitting on the covered back patio at night with the music low and the tiki torches going makes a great relaxing evening.
The location of the house is great also, just a short cab ride or walk to DuvalStreet for some great dinner or night life, or a quick scooter ride to the beach, makes it easy to get where you need to go in just minutes. They even thought of putting a Key West book together of great places to eat and attractions to see while we were there for the month.
We are looking to go back to Southernmost Comfort for another stay this fall and logged-in tonight to check availabilty and seen it is almost booked up. I have made calls tonight to finalize our plans, because I will not stay anywhere else in Key West now. See you all at Mile 0 !!

Gorgeous! Relax in Key West Luxury!

So glad we came to Key West to relax, enjoy, dine and shop! We chose Southernmost Comfort becuase of the gorgeous open floor plan with every door that leads out to the gorgeous Key West breeze and sun! A true Key West gem! Really couldn't bring ourselves to leave!

Every little detail was thought of! Gorgeous kitchen with high end everywhere! Master bedroom and bath is a vacation in itself! Family loved the entertainment room and guest house! So nice to be together in the pool, listening to music, eating lunch and lounging...And then having the ability to go to our own guest or entertainment spaces. Thought the family would use the outdoor shower...but I never wanted to share it! Luxury!

Walks every morning around the neighborhood and into town for breakfast!

Everything was BEYOND our expectations! Great service from the property manager!

Can't wait to come back! We've already sent other friends and family members! Kevin and Stephanie Loane

Absolutely Beautiful!!!!

My husband and I stayed at this house last year. We love to travel and have stayed in a lot of different places over the years and I have never taken the time to write a review but this house is so amazing, I felt I needed to pass on how much we loved it!
The back yard is beautifully landscaped with a private pool and waterfall to catch some sun (my favorite place to read a book) as well as a full back covered porch which we enjoyed eating both breakfast and lunch at as well as having some cocktails. All 4 bedrooms are decorated to perfection with all having their own private full baths which is perfect for both families or several couples. Two of the bedrooms even have their own washer and dryer.
It is a short walk to Duvall for shopping and restaurants or if you want to stay in, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything for the chef to prepare a home cooked meal including granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and you will love the large wine cooler! The living room has all the comforts of home including a large screen tv or if you need some private, quiet time there is also a "man-cave". This house has so much to offer including a surround sound system, french doors off all of the rooms to enjoy the tropical outdoors, outdoor grill and even an outdoor shower.
There are also scooter places within walking distance and very fun to rent for the day to do some site seeing. Unlike other places we have stayed, there is not a single item about this vacation home that I would want to see the owner change and we definately plan on going back!

Amazing Home!

This is my favorite place to stay in Key West. I have never seen a house layout that is more inviting and useable. We split our time in the Keys between visits from couples, kids and single friends and they all enjoyed the features of this house as much as we did. The bedrooms are all very well appointed and all have ensuite bathrooms so privacy is never an issue. The gourmet kitchen is fantastic for anyone that likes to cook. We found ourselves frequently preferring to stay home and cook fresh fish and vegetables from the market and dine outside by the pool. Breakfast was a lot easier to make at the house also as we took in the morning sun. The back yard is so well designed and laid out that it is hard to drag yourself away to head to Duval St. We rented scooters from a local rental company (they are everywhere) and easily and enjoyably got around the island for dining, shopping and site seeing. The media room off the upstairs exit door was a big hit with kids as well as some of the adults that just wanted to relax and watch a game and order pizza. The house was immaculatley clean when we arrived and the property manager stopped by to let us know that he was close by and available should we need anything at all. I really can't think of a rental property that I have ever enjoyed as much as this one. I'll be back as often as I can and recommend it highly to anyone.

Honeymoon In Paradise

My wife and I decided to take our honeymoon down in Key West and couldn't have been happier with our accomodations. The house was better and more amazing then anything we could have dreamed of. The master bedroom/bathroom is fantastic and provides an excellent open air sleeping enviornment if you choose to have the doors open at night. The pool/backyard area is secluded and private and allowed us to spend our afternoons in an extremely enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. The deck is a nice option if you want to stay out of the sun but still take in the outdoors. My wife really enjoys cooking and I can say that the kitchen is top of the line and very easy to get around. You can also tell the owner spent time and effort on the furnishings. All of the furniture is quality made and in excellent condition. The little things are what can really make a vacation, and this house hits the mark on every level. If you are thinking about a trip to Key West, this is as good as location as you'll find! Can't wait to take an anniversary trip next year!

This was by far the best vacation rental in which we have had the pleasure of staying. We usually opt for 4-5 star resorts on the various islands we have visited but went for a home so that we could have friends visit during our stay.

We never wanted to leave. The rooms are perfect and no detail is missed. The pool area is paradise.

The master bedroom/bath is perfect and our guests loved the private guest house. The gourmet kitchen, sound system, waterfall pool, jacuzzi tub, outdoor shower, island decor, entertainment room/man-cave, and third-story outdoor balcony all made it so that we we wanted to move in for good.

The neighborhood is minutes from the beach and restaurants, although we did not spend any time at the beach. It was a perfect location that felt very secluded and private at the same time.

Highly recommend staying here if you are planning time in Key West.

My wife and I had never been to Key West before and after staying in this house, it won't be our last trip there. This home has everything you could possibly need to make your vacation perfect. There is not one detail that is overlooked throughout this home.
The home is fully furnished and even has (2) sets of washers and dryers. The sound system on the lower level makes the experience ever so relaxing while sitting outside / enjoying the pool / laying out / and even going back into the house to freshen up your drink. The french doors (both on the main level and upstairs) truly allow you to enjoy an open air home while still being comfortable. Every bedroom is very spacious and comfortable and has a flat screen TV.
We went to Key West to explore all it had to offer, but found ourselves staying half the time at the house because of the relaxing vibe it gives off. After staying here you will not want to stay anywhere else again. We WILL be back !

Tropical Paradise

This home is perfect for any family. The pool area and porch are perfectly landscaped and a wonderful place to relax. The interior of the home is clean, furnished comfortably and the kitchen is among the best entertainment areas we've seen in a home. The large televisions, lighting and wired sound added to the overall experience. Be sure to check out the "man cave" for a relaxing evening in front of the television.

My wife and three teen girls had an amazing time in the home and highly recommend it to anyone considering spending time in Key West.

This house was everything advertised and then some! After many trips and rentals in Key West this was by far our best experience. We had 4 adults, 3 teenagers and a 7 year old in our group and I'm sure we are unaminous in a 5 star plus rating. A great house with a fantastic set up! I'm ready to go back and stay for 2 months.
Shel from Last Key is awesome and catered to our every whim. He even had the Brazilian TV channel hooked up so the wife wouldn't miss her novella! Now thats service. I wouldn't even think of calling anyone else for a rental in Key West!
