Lake front house with outstanding lake views. Less than seven steps to get to the lake. Our house is located in the quiet area of the lake, where you can count on calm water that is great for swimming. The fishing is great off the dock, where we have set up many crappie beds. There is a bar/grill close by land, and many more close by water. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet that our house has to offer. Perfect for 1-3 families.

We enjoyed our week stay at the house, which is layed out great for two families with all the comforts of home. Good quiet section of the lake, away from everything. A bit of a drive, to town but we knew that going in. I still had fun fishing even though it was cold. We did find that the house does need some upgrades. All the appliances work but are older including the gas grill, wich I was disapointed in- had to get my tools out. If you want a fire in the fireplace- bring your own wood! For the phone at the house you will need a calling card. no big deal. There is NO cell service. We had some other issues with the house and we let the owners know about them. In my honest opinion I believe that the off season rate which we paid was a fair deal, but the summer rates would not be a good value for this property without the upgrades.

Exactly what we needed...

For six adults, five kids ages 2-10, and two boats this place served us VERY nicely. It's a short trip from the house to the dock and all of the windows make it really easy to keep an eye on the kids when they're swimming. The cove off of the main channel is PERFECT and makes for quiet when you want it but still just around the corner from the action. Nice deck and yard...AWESOME dock...layout of the home is very nice--nice open living/kitchen/dining area. We didn't fish much, but we did spend a LOT of time on the water and we couldn't have imagined it working much better than it did here. This place isn't the Ritz, but it is nice, nicely equipped, the A/C blows COLD, water heater works fine, it's clean and best of all, Mandy does a GREAT job of communicating. This was the first time we rented a private home and she helped make it a pain-free experience. In fact, we are booking time in this place again in 2013.

Finally, we wouldn't recommend coming here if you have plans to shop elsewhere or do a bunch of "touristy" things. This is where you come when you want to get away from it all, stay put, and spend time on the water.

Our family usually makes it a day trip to go shopping and ride go carts or go to the Dam. About a 45 min drive which isn't bad if you spend the day but certainly not convenient. Our house is definitely about spending time at the lake! We look forward to your next stay!

This place was great. We had 3 families and there was plenty of room. The lake was very quiet and calm which was perfect for the kids.
The only complaint I had was the cleanliness. The bedrooms were dusty and the stove was a mess. I'm pretty sure we left it cleaner than we found it. It was also pretty musty and not good on the allergies. However, the landscaping, deck and the dock were really well maintained.
The owners were always very helpful if we had any questions and very easy to get a hold of. I love the pictures they had up of all the renovations they had done on the place. They really fixed it up.
Owner's Response: We are very happy that you enjoyed your family vacation. We apologize for the cleanliness issues, which we can assure you have now been resolved. This was just a matter of poor communication between 2 owners. Our house has a great set up for multiple families and we are glad that you were able to enjoy it like we do! The water is certainly ideal for young kids as you don't have to worry about the waves taking them away.
