We found the unit exactly as described, spacious, well located, well appointed and would have no hesitation to recommend the property to others.

We stayed in the apartment for one week and found it well appointed and very clean. We only ate breakfast in the apartment, and it had everything we would require. The small grocer on the corner had enough to get us equipped for the first few days, and the Nob Hill Cafe was terrific for dinner the night we arrived, and the night before wea left.

The apartment is on the top of a very steep hill - yes, really! Get yourself a Muni pass so you can get the bus up or down the hill from the next street over, or for the cable car only a couple of blocks away. The cable car is often full though to get up the hill - so having the bus alternative was great. For tours we always arranged to be collected from the nearby Fairmont Hotel. Having a few tour brochures in the apartment might be helpful, though there are brochures at various locations down the hill.

Everything you need was in the apartment. The bedrooms have. Enteral heating, which cycles off at night and comes onat 6am. The front of the apartment has two heaters you can move from room to room, which for us cold Aussies meant in the kitchen most of the time. By the middle of our stay the apartment was generally feeling warmer.

We would definitely stay again.

The flat in San Francisco was perfect for our needs-spacious, nicely decorated, centrally located and accessible to mass transportation. At the last minute, we decided to rent a car so the free parking was a definite plus! This was my first rental through VRBO so, the owner was patient and responsive when I had questions. I would definitely stay in this flat again if I travelled to the Bay Area.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for six night, and could have stayed for a month! The apartment felt like home! The close proximity to transit, the two excellent neighbourhood restaurants and corner grocery store within half a block were bonuses. The apartment is well appointed with cozy furniture, comfortable beds, new kitchen appliances, internet access, etc. The owner, Jill, was helpful and very welcoming - she delivered a loaf of fresh bread and two bouquets of flowers upon our arrival. We would most definitely return to this property if we should be so fortunate as to be in San Francisco again.

We loved being in this central location- we used day passes and rode the cable cars and buses all over.
It was great to come back after a day of touring and crawl into those sumptous beds!

My husband and I and another couple stayed three days in this flat which we understand to be a good example of SF housing of its era. We loved the location but we loved the layout and appointments even more. We wish we owned this place! We felt comfortable and at home. There was plenty of room for us all to feel we had space. We were ridiculously close to the cable car (and cable car museum) and other transit. We are great walkers and could get many places on foot. Be sure to eat at the Cafe a few doors down. The aromas will drag you in. I really can't say enough good things about this VRBO rental.

My family was very pleased and quite comfortable with all that was offered in your apartment. Great location and accessible to a lot of area's we visited either walking or using public transporation. Having that little corner store handy was a plus along with the Nob Hill Cafe...yummy food. Jill, the owner was a pleasure to work with on our arrangements. The fresh flowers were a welcoming jester and the "bread" was a treat and delicious! Definately have this apartment bookmarked for our next stay in SF. We would defiantely recommend this apartment. This historic property was centrally located and a very good size for me and my two girls. We drove from L.A. so it was nice that the garage was close by too. The hostess was very accommodating and left us some yummy sour dough bread. It was really fun to sit in the front room and watch the action on the street from the little table. I did find the apartment to be a bit dark and a little untidy. Also, being three girls we could have used more towels and blankets. There is some noise at 5:30-6:30 a.m. behind the apartment even on the weekend but my children slept through it. All in all, I would stay here again.

FYI while it was good to have reasonably priced restaurant right next door, the service there was VERY slow. I would suggest putting your name in and going back to the flat to relax.
