3 generations shared this lake front home that was every bit as lovely as the photos for Christmas week. The decorating that Julianne had done for us was beautiful. Tree, lights, table decorations -- all over. She even included her Christmas china! There was a small problem with the operation of the gas fireplace that Julianne addessed promptly and it seemed like no problem due to the quickness of the answer. The 7 grands, from ages 1 to 14 had fun outside in the playhouse and riding the bikes and upstairs in their bunkroom enjoying the Wii. We had up to 20 sitting down to dinners. Sometimes we had 3 cooks working in the well-equipped kitchen and/or at the Big Green Egg. Lots of room to just sit and talk or read. We took everyone on the hike up to Smith Mountain Fire tower and the 3-year-olds especially enjoyed the hike. Really a super place for large family groups. We would like to return in the summer when there can be even more outdoor activity at this beautiful location.

The house at 102 Tranquility Point, Dadeville, was just perfect. Vey well furnished and stocked, great location on the lake, everything works. This is a quiet part of the lake perfect for serenity and rest. In 10 minutes on the water you can be in the hustle and bustle part of the lake. This house has lots of bedrooms, patios, and porches (including a large screened porce),all nicely furnished and perfect for sipping a cool one or cocktail looking over the beautiful lake. Highly recommend this house for any group needing 4 or more bedrooms (it has 5). Mike Jackson

This house has beauty and perfection written all over it. My family and extended family all met there for my son's wedding at nearby Sillwaters. The house was large enough, so we were all able to be together. Plus, it was very affordable.The inside was spacious, with a big kitchen and plenty of seating room for everyone. However, I must confess, with the incredible weather and decking area, we spent as much time as we could outside soaking in the beautiful fall colors and serenity of the lake.The house is extremely well maintained and fully stocked with plenty of linens. With the ironing board and multiple outlets, we were able to get everyone's clothes ready for the wedding. We had wonderful Barbeque from a local restaurant. The stores in nearby Dadeville were more than adequate, but larger shopping areas are close by. We had three small girls with us who thoroughly enjoyed the playhouse and swings. They also had a blast with the pedal cars, while their dads enjoyed fishing off the dock. We could not have dreamed of such a wonderful place that met so many of our family's needs. Julianne was wonderful to work with, answered any questions I had promptly and was so friendly! All 12 of us there would recommend this home to a small or large group for any occasion. I think we may have to make this vacation home a family tradition!

My family and several friends spent 2 wonderful weeks at Tranquility Point. Everything was as advertised or better. We so enjoyed being able to sit on the porch, enjoying the beautiful view and the peace and quiet. All furnishings were comfortable and adequate. I enjoyed cooking most of our meals and was extremely pleased with kitchen dishes and utensils. We definitely will return to this house!!

everything we needed to make our trip enjoyable.

The whole experience started with very kind and extremely accommodating communication by phone and e-mail with Julianne, the owner of the property, who made me feel very welcome. The directions and instructions we received were very helpful, and made finding the house easy. Julianne's family house is just beautiful on the inside and the outside, and is situated at a most wonderful location! Having a cuppa on the deck in the morning overlooking the lake and hearing the sounds of nature, was my favorite pastime during our 5 night stay, in which we did a lot of running around visiting family. However coming back to Julianne's house, felt like coming back to our quiet and peaceful haven. On our morning runs we met some of the people in the neighborhood walking their dogs or out for a stroll, and everyone seemed as kind and welcoming as Julianne has been. It makes me want to spend much more time at this location. We rented the house for Christmas so we would have a relaxed and inviting place for family living in Alabama, to get away from their daily routines and come and stay with us. And the house and all the amenities fully achieved this, as everyone loved visiting. The decoration of the house is very comfortable and stylish, and it truly feels to me like a home away from home. And to have the Christmas decorations used by Julianne and her family for their own Christmas celebrations, was a great bonus that we fully enjoyed. The fact that this used to be Julianne her family home and that she also spends time here with her family at special occasions, shines through in the decorations of the home and it seems to fill the house with the love and warmth that you do not often find in the holiday houses you rent, and which was just such a big bonus to our stay. Unfortunately did we never get to meet Julianne or her family, but we were told by several people from different walks of life, that the family is one of the nicest, kindest and most honorable families you can meet. How truly lucky were we, to find the listing of their house on VRBO, and how much are we looking forward to a future stay. Thank you again so very much Julianne, for sharing your home and making us feel so welcome. We just had the best time we could have had, and your house is all we could have asked for. We treasure the memories made at Tranquility Point, and we wish you and your family the very best. Take care and keep doing what you are doing, as you are doing it very very well!

Ten first cousins including spouses, all in our 70' & 80's, spent a week in this lovely home. We couldn't have asked for a better equped and comfortable place to relax and enjoy being togethe. It was a wonderful experience and we look forward to returning in the near future.
The only contact I have had with the owner is through e-mails and telephone but she was wonderful and very cooperative. I hope someday to meet her.

Everything about this house is as described, only better. We had a group of 9 family members ranging from age 11 to 75, and each person had a favorite aspect of the house, such as driving around in the golf cart, fishing off the dock, watching the gorgeous sunrises and moonrises and having comfortable, high quality bedding and furnishings to enjoy while spending time with family. The kitchen is fully stocked with many, many serving pieces and cooking/baking equipment, the large table easily sat 10 people comfortably and the master bedroom suite with lakefront private deck and indoor whirlpool was a wonderful place for parents to relax. Even the laundry room was fully stocked, with a washer, dryer and fold-down ironing board; there is everything you could possibly want in this luxury lakefront home. If we could rate it higher than 5 stars, we would certainly do so.
