This apartment was as pretty as the photos. On a busy, central street, but very quiet apartment. Close to everything that you'd want to see -- Ramblas, beach, Gothic quarter, Cathedral, Born quarter, great markets. Dian was great to work with -- very flexible, communicative, and had recommendations for restaurants that we were happy to follow. Six of us stayed there comfortably. Highly recommend!

Fabulous with a Famly of Five!

Thank you so much for a delightful time! We had a fabulous experience staying in this great part of Barcelona and in this apartment.
A few highlights:
Diana, Rachel and Brad were ever so accommodating and it was great to be met at the flat by a fellow Chicagoan (small world). It was easy and convenient after a long day of international travel to have the taxi waiting for us at the airport - thank you. The WiFi, washing machine and a fridge with water were ideal. Also the use of 4 electric converters were greatly appreciated as we charged all our iPhones/iPads. There were no issues with accepting our credit card, getting our deposit back, communication at all times was prompt. They provided us with local numbers while we were there if we ran into issues and were happy to offer any kind of advice. It was great.
I cannot stress enough how perfect the location is - even though Via Laietana is a busy street you cannot hear any traffic, BUT you get the benefit of being near the Born area (delightful shops and restaurants) and close enough to the La Rambla and all those feeder streets w/o being on top of it. Plus you are on the route for the city bus tour (if you chose to do the Barcelona Bus Turistic). Also 2 blocks from the easy to use Metra. Everything is so close and you are in the heart of the old town.
We are family of 5 (kids ages 12, 10, 6) and I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling with a family or a group of friends.

We loved this beautiful apartment... great section of the city... safe and within walking distance of so many attractions, restaurants and transportation. The property is as luxurious as pictured on site and it accommodated 6 adults with plenty of privacy and shared space. Check in and check out was easy and we appreciated the tips on restaurants. Easy to stock up on a few breakfast supplies with a small supermarket nearby. Highly recommend and would stay there again!!

Absolutely love this place! My experiences in the past with vacation apartment rentals have generally been disappointing. They never live up to the photos and descriptions on the websites. This place was an awesome exception! My wife and I went to Barcelona with our close friends from LA who are picky and hard to please, much less impress. Not only were they impressed but they loved it too. Our stay from check-in to check-out was wonderful. The staff is friendly and receptive. A warm young lady and great bottle of wine greeted us upon our arrival. The amenities are excellent, and due to the great location we were able to take advantage of the farmers market and organic grocery store close by to utilize the great kitchen for breakfast and a few dinners. However, because the location rocks, we admittedly spent most of our time exploring, shopping and trying the cool cafes and bars. The Gothic section is my favorite part of Barcelona. From the apartment we not only walked all over the Gothic, but to the port, the zoo, the Picasso Museum and La Rambla. Our rental car rarely moved and the only time we spent cash on a taxi was to go to La Sargarda Familia. Our LA friends have never walked so much without complaining. We started to feel kind of like locals taking our coffee and croissants by the port or near the cathedral, roaming the streets and shops, occasionally grabbing a quick nap at our posh pad, then back out for an apertif at a bar before grabbing groceries and wine for dinner back home. Perfect! Good price, beautiful apartment, perfect location. Yeah, I highly recommend this place.

We stayed here after a cruise and loved it. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and we got great suggestions for restaurants. The apartment could not have been better. There is opaque glass in the bedroom doors pictured. We were a group of 5 and were very comfortable. We will stay here again!

Perfect apartment in an ideal location!

This apartment couldn't have been more lovely! My husband and I and our three teenagers spent four nights in this beautiful apartment in Barcelona. It is spacious, beautifully decorated and was the perfect living space for the five us. Since the Canadian review below in March, Diana, the owner, has taken care of every issue mentioned, including buying new furniture for the living room. It truly felt like a home away from home. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were fully equipped. We also loved the location. Previously unfamiliar with Barcelona, we spent some time researching the best (and safest) location and we would definitely choose this apartment again. It is centrally located in an area with the most architectural history and character and within walking distance of most of the sights, markets, restaurants and the beach/port. Diana and her property managers were all very helpful and welcoming. Everything about this place is fabulous!!

This beautiful, comfortable and perfectly located apartment was our family's happy home in Barcelona for 4 days. The apartment was beautifully furnished and appointed and the location provided easy walking access to all of the sights and restaurants in the Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas, Born, Eixample and Barcelonetta areas. The metro stop is one minute from the front door. In short, we couldn't have found a better place for our stay!

We spent one week in this lovely apartment in Barcelona. Excellent location, very well equipped and spotless. We loved the decoration and classical atmosphere of the apartment. The beds were very comfortable and the living room was really beautiful and seemed to have been recently renovated and re-furnished. The kitchen was fully equipped, modern, spacious and bright. The main hotspots of Barcelona are within a few minutes walking distance which was fantastic. We had an amazing experience in Barcelona, loved the apartment (could definitely not have found a better place so ideally located), and we would strongly recommend it.

We loved this apartment!!!

We are a couple from Chicago who have spent some unforgettable days in Barcelona. We rented this beautiful apartment, and out of the many accommodations through VRBO we have used, this is one of our favorites. Our experience with the staff was from start to finish excellent. Diana, Blanca and Natalie were very helpful and professional from the first contact through email to the checking-in and out. Excellent location, exquisite decoration, very quiet despite being on a busy street (the apartment faces a quiet pedestrian street). Great views of the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. We read a comment from a previous guest and we cannot agree with them as we found everything to be perfect. The living room is spacious with a sofa that easily seats 6 people, there were great amenities of the highest quality in the bathrooms, and the beds and bedding were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for quality accommodation in Barcelona.

Great location but no living room and many other

We are a party of 5 Canadians who spent a week in this apartment in March. We have travelled extensively and have rented apartments all over Europe so we believe we have reasonable expectations.
The location is fabulous. Easy walk to wonderful shops, restaurants and the metro. Not particularly noisy given its location.
Beds and linen were good quality. Wifi was good but there is no "computer in the 2nd bedroom" as stated in description. We brought ipads so didn't care. Can't comment on the tv sets--we didn't turn them on.
Plumbing all worked and bathrooms looked nice. Bedroom 1 and its bathroom
are well equipped. The others are not--virtually nowhere to put toiletries, no holder for toilet paper, no hooks to hang up clothes. Basic supplies (toilet paper, soap, shampoo) that are normally provided in even a modest rental were not provided.
The apartment itself is rather odd. The "living/dining room" shown in the photos is really a dining room with a few extra chairs and a TV set. The French doors shown do NOT lead into a living room with sitting area as we had (foolishly) assumed. In fact, they lead to bedroom 3. So, if you are the sort of group that would like to sit and socialize, you will need to sit around the dining room table or do some furniture moving. We put the DR table in a corner and took chairs out of bedrooms to form a little seating area in the dining room.
The French doors to bedroom 3 are now covered with semi-sheer fabric but the “bedroom” is quite visible from the dining room if the lights are on.
The kitchen too is rather odd for a 3 bedroom apartment. There is a table with 4 chairs but only 3 can sit comfortably. We ate breakfast in shifts since we could no longer use the dining room table (see above).
Considering the lovely décor of the apartment, and the rental price, the dishes and cutlery in the kitchen are appalling. Many of the dishes and cups were chipped and very badly stained. The kitchen is well equipped for coffee drinkers but not for tea drinkers. There was a tiny electric kettle (perhaps ½ litre) that would boil until unplugged, and no teapot.
When contacted, Natalie was very responsive. But frankly, we feel that we should not have had to ask for basics such as heat in the apartment, soap and shampoo. We had purchased toilet paper.
There were other issues that should be addressed and we have sent a detailed list to the management in hopes that they will be addressed before the next group arrives
