Just got back from staying at this cabin with my family of 5.
You can't beat the price for the accommodations. The 3 Kids (teens) stayed upstairs, while my husband and I stayed in the bedroom w/ the queen. My son decided he didn't want to stay w/ the girls and slept most of the week on the pullout couch. One of my daughters slept on the other one on a late movie night. Plenty of bedding and towels for everyone. Lots of fans to help move around the air. Great deck to just hang out. Not a lot of bugs for a very wooded area. Great fire pit area. Lots of s'mores were cooked there! Stocked kitchen. I just brought food and clothes.there a washer/dryer so everyone packed lightly which was awesome.
Nearby mini mart or gas station for milk, bait, ice cream...
Went kayaking on the Pine and we had a blast! Fished at the dam, and a couple of the lakes.(didn't catch anything but was due to the drought. Locals all said it was unusual) Went to the nearby beach a few times. It was small but clean. Really clear water.
We enjoyed our first Michigan get away. Shaun was really nice and prompt in answering any of my questions. We agreed the winter would be really cool to see here with all the snow mobile trails.
This property is well maintained. I've been in some rentals where the bare minimum was done in terms of maintenance. This cabin was clean, nothing broken, great little place.
Owner's Response: Lisa, we are so happy that you guys enjoyed your stay! You are right in thinking the winters are awesome as well! You can catch the snowmobile trails right from driveway and there is a place nearby that rents them. Thanks again and keep us in mind for your next Northern Michigan adventure. Shawn & Cassie Mullins
