Great Cabin

Stayed during Easter. Very clean. Everything worked. Having a washer and dryer in the cabin is more of a luxury than one might expect. Couldn't of been happier with the cabin or the price. Had fun. Stumbled on a little treasure just south of here...Dublin. That grocery store had a great meat market, including fresh sausage and jerky. Been up there plenty of times and never knew the place was there. Will definitely recommed.

Just got back from staying at this cabin with my family of 5.
You can't beat the price for the accommodations. The 3 Kids (teens) stayed upstairs, while my husband and I stayed in the bedroom w/ the queen. My son decided he didn't want to stay w/ the girls and slept most of the week on the pullout couch. One of my daughters slept on the other one on a late movie night. Plenty of bedding and towels for everyone. Lots of fans to help move around the air. Great deck to just hang out. Not a lot of bugs for a very wooded area. Great fire pit area. Lots of s'mores were cooked there! Stocked kitchen. I just brought food and clothes.there a washer/dryer so everyone packed lightly which was awesome.
Nearby mini mart or gas station for milk, bait, ice cream...
Went kayaking on the Pine and we had a blast! Fished at the dam, and a couple of the lakes.(didn't catch anything but was due to the drought. Locals all said it was unusual) Went to the nearby beach a few times. It was small but clean. Really clear water.
We enjoyed our first Michigan get away. Shaun was really nice and prompt in answering any of my questions. We agreed the winter would be really cool to see here with all the snow mobile trails.
This property is well maintained. I've been in some rentals where the bare minimum was done in terms of maintenance. This cabin was clean, nothing broken, great little place.
Owner's Response: Lisa, we are so happy that you guys enjoyed your stay! You are right in thinking the winters are awesome as well! You can catch the snowmobile trails right from driveway and there is a place nearby that rents them. Thanks again and keep us in mind for your next Northern Michigan adventure. Shawn & Cassie Mullins

Cute cabin close to the Pine River

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Shaun's cabin this June. The cabin is simple but clean and he has added a fire pit and picnic area at the side of the house where we enjoyed our dinner and evening fire. The beautiful deck was a wonderful place for morning coffee. The cabin is a short walk to the lake and only five minutes from "Low Bridge" which is the take-out location for trips on the Pine river.
Shaun was extremely accommodating helping us find someone to shuttle (spot) our car, and allowing us to arrive early enough to drop our dog off at the cabin prior to kayaking. I am already planning my next trip back this fall.
Owner's Response: Thanks Dorelle I'm glad you guys had a good vacation! Cassie and I are taking our daughters canoeing this weekend but we are not brave enough to take them on the Pine. Thinking the Big Manistee River. There are 4 or 5 rivers in the area that are great for canoeing and kayaking. I meant to ask how you guys did at the Casino?? Thanks again and we will see you soon, Shawn & Cassie
