Ideal for multi families, sleeps 16-20: 3 kings, 1 queen, 2 twin sleep sofas, three bunk sets--two twin/full, one twin/twin, full sleep sofa. A bed for everyone! There are over 3600 square feet of living space and 1100 square feet of patio and balconies. Private community pool. Less than a five minute walk to the beach (second house from Scenic Gulf Drive).

The Handpainted Villa has murals of seascapes throughout to create a relaxing atmosphere and is decorated summer cottage style with worry-free distressed furniture.

Ground level has two rooms. One is a spacious suite with king bed, one full/twin bunk bed, and a mini-kitchen. Second room is a bunkroom with one full/twin and one twin/twin bunk beds. Both rooms share a full bath.The bunkroom has a dedicated play area with lots of toys to captivate the little ones. It's a great place for them to escape the beach's hot afternoon sun. There is a covered patio.

Second level has a bedroom with queen, private screened balcony, and gulf view. A large great room combines well-equipped kitchen, dining (with enough seating for everyone at dinner tables), and living room which includes full sleep sofa. A terrific gulf view from a screened balcony large enough for entertaining. Full bath off hallway.

Third level has a spacious master with king, gas fireplace, and large screened private balcony with fabulous gulf view. Luxurious bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower. The second master has king, private bath, and private screened balcony with gulf view. Each master has a twin sleep sofa for when little ones need to sleep in same room as parents. Third level also has a spacious laundry room.

Outside shower, beach toys, 3 two-seater wagons, and beach chairs and umbrellas are provided. High chairs, booster seats, strollers, baby monitor, baby toys, 3 pack n' play, and retractable mesh baby gates are provided for babies and toddlers.

Hurricane refund policy: if a hurricane warning for Destin is issued during a stay and the renter chooses to leave, we will send within thirty days a prorated refund determined by number of remaining nights in the stay minus cleaning fee. If just prior to arrival a hurricane warning for Destin is issued, we will send a full refund within thirty days.

The Handpainted Villa was a great house for our family to gather. There were numerous amenities for children (i.e. four pack-n-plays, various toys, a playhouse, beach toys, wagons). There were ample places for people to sleep. The beach is right across the street. You can sit on the balconies and see and hear the beach. There is a large sidewalk that goes along the beach for walking or running. Shopping centers were very close and convenient. This is a great vacation house!

We are a very kid friendly vacation home which helps to make the stay for kids and adults a happier one (when your kids are happy, you are happy). The close proximity to the beach (less than 5 minute walk and wagons to transport the toddlers and coolers) makes this house very desirable. The extra comfort of screened porches creates safety for kids and reassurance for parents while keeping out flying insects.

Perfect house for families!

This house is so well thought out for families. They've thought of everything! We rented the house with 2 other families - children ages 1 year, 18 months, and 3 years old. The playroom was fantastic for them and gave them something to do when we weren't out and about. There were baby gates, a baby monitor, playpens...everything you can hope for for children. This was the only house I found while searching that seemed geared towards kids.

The beach is so close - just a walk across the street. It was very clean and never crowded. The house had beach umbrellas and chairs, so that was great too!

The owners were fabulous and always stayed in contact. They always replied very quickly to my emails. The house is in great shape and the pictures don't do it justice! All of the paintings in the house were beautiful! I wish I had that talent! :)

We had a great trip and hope to come back some day!!

This was our second year staying at the Hand Painted Villa, and we hope to make it a third visit in 2012. Our family came from Texas, Tenessee, Louisiana, and Georgia, and no one was disappointed. The spacious sleeping arrangements makes this a perfect spot for a diverse family from infants to the elderly. Every kitchen utensil, serving dish, or prep pan you can ever imagine needing is included in the convenient kitchen. An amazingly well stocked playroom will delight the children. You have to see it to believe it. Very kid friendly.! Deck areas for community gatherings are on every level of the three level clean and orderly home.

Destin is beautiful and so is this property. The artistry and attention to creating a relaxing atmosphere has been achieved masterfully. It has everything for the beach, cookouts, or those rainy afernoons when the family gathers around the various board games or chooses to watch a video. If you are hesitant - don't be! You'l love it!!!

A Great Family Vacation Property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the HPV. Every room contains a work of art. The setup was perfect for our group of 7 including two small children. The kid's bunkroom was nice and a great place to isolate them every night. We could keep tabs on them with the provided monitor. We loved eating meals on the screened in deck. The walk to the beach was easy as we loaded up wagons with kids, beach chairs, umbrella, and toys. We also liked being able to walk to some closeby restaurants. The kids loved the pool and we we hung out there for many hours as well. Evening walks on the beach were especially awesome. The house was well maintained and most everything you would require in the way of kitchenware was provided. I would highly recommend the Handpainted Villa for any family looking for an awesome Destin vacation!

Fantastic Rental!

Two families stayed at this property for a week during spring break of 2012. We had a tremendous time. You can tell that the owners have spent a great amount of time and TLC into this house. The play room and bunkroom were a great getaway for young and old kids alike. Multiple decks and patios let everyone have quality outside time as well. We were there in early April. and it was nice to have all the decks screened in so we could enjoy outside time without bugs. The bedrooms were beautifully appointed. The dining and living areas were more than spacious enough for our party of 11. We loved the paintings and the little touches we found throughout!

The house is perfect for families with young children. It is well equipped with highchairs, strollers, sand toys, portable cribs and an awesome play room. The kithchen is well stocked with everything you need. The screens on the porch were also nice for sitting out at night with no bugs and keeping little ones safe. The house is well maintained. The only thing you need to bring is your own clothes...otherwise everything else is provided. The location is also great a minute walk to the pool and right across the street from the beach.

The Handpainted Villa is a great vacation destination for families of all ages. They’ve thought of everything – all you need to bring is a big group ready to have fun in the sun! Our family of 10 (ages 2 to 60) had an awesome time – we got comments like “this is the best vacation we’ve ever had” and “how soon can we come back”. Our recommendation to those considering this as a vacation destination is book it for 2 weeks – you won’t regret it!!!

Great Family Vacation

This home was perfect for our beach vacation. The villa is in the perfect location. It was very close to the beach and not surrounded by huge condos. You are also close to many restaurants, grocery stores and shopping malls. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and then some. The bedrooms were more than adequate and the beds were very comfortable. It's the perfect house for children. We loved the playroom, the children had the best time. We enjoyed walking to the beach every day. We set up a canopy on the beach and left it there for the whole week. The kids played putt putt golf and we also went on a boat tour to see the dolphins and to watch the fireworks.
The handpainted murals are more beautiful in person.
The owners were great to work with and answered all of our questions. We are already talking about staying again next year.

Multi Family Destin Vacation

My family decided to rent a house in Destin to celebrate my 40th Birthday. We ended up renting this house with 2 other couples and their kids. We had 13 total 6 adults, 7 kids. This house we perfect in every way. The location of the house was a 3 minute walk to the beach. The owners supplied us with everything you need for the beach (wagons, chairs, coolers ect). This house in centrally located. It is a few miles from the Destin Commons, and Walmart where we did most of our grocery shopping. The house is set up perfectly for families who like to cook or just relax. The bunk room was where most of the kids hung out. It gave them privacy and us adults peace. We hung out outside playing poker and enjoying the ocean views, and the sound of the ocean waves. We will return again in a few years. I highly recommend this property to any family. It has that home away from home feel to it.
