Great Experience for Special Event

My group rented this house for a special event Murder Mystery weekend. We had a great time. Before we even arrived, the owner was extremely accommodating, allowing us to take a look at the house beforehand and providing extra cots and bedding as our numbers changed in the months before our rental period.
The house itself was gorgeous and held 15 adults without a problem. It was clean, well lit, and spacious, with linens and towels provided. We had a blast, and, as the organizer, I would recommend this property to anyone looking to rent a house for a large group.

Great Place!!!

We took a vacation to Toronto and stay at this gorgeous house for 5 nights. The location is ideal as it's close to downtown and a major freeway. The house has everything you need with all the pots/pans/plate settings. We saved a lot of money by cooking our own dinner at night.
There were more than enough room for all 10 of us. My two kids (3 and 5 yo) enjoyed the toys that they have in the house. We did have a small problem with the automatic lock but it was fixed immediately. Overall we could not ask for a better place to stay and will without a doubt return for our next trip to Toronto

2012 Winter Holidays

I usually do not write reviews but I agree with all the previous comments. We spent our family holidays at this home. Upon entering the children were very excited to see Santa had arrived and left them something under a beautifully decorated tree!
The home has all the amenities included, no small detail is left out and you really feel at home here. There is a fancy coffee machine with beans provided that everyone enjoyed! The home is a short walk to the subway and across the street from a grocery store. We were able to take the family sled riding with the sleds provided by the home near a nice park with a large hill. The neighborhood is excellent and the local businesses and residents are very friendly.
This was our first time renting a home from homeaway and we were a little nervous, however the owner is very upfront and a pleasure to work with. This was a family holiday to remember!

Gillian, The house was amazing!! The group was so pleased with the house and the location. Clean sheets and bedding, comfortable beds (and lots of them) soft towels, games the lit goes on and on. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back, it was a perfect getaway.

Seven of us had a fantastic "Girls Weekend" in Toronto. Gillian's house is amazing, super comfortable and well outfitted. In addition the location couldn't have been any better. Some if us drove and some of us flew in and it was easy for everyone to get to the property. We were surprised at what a bargain it was to take public transport to/from the Airport using bus/subway ~ $3.00 each way. In addition the house is just a couple of blocks from the subway and steps from the tram, making it incredibly easy and affordable to get around the city. The neighborhood is safe and interesting as well. I would highly recommend this house if you are visiting the great city of Toronto.

Perfect Haven in Toronto!

I rented this house for the week of my wedding for family and friends who were visiting. The house is in my neighborhood (lovely Riverdale) and it worked out perfectly. For anyone familiar with Toronto, this house is extremely well situated; easy subway and streetcar access, close to downtown, museums and sites, and adjacent to The Danforth and Queen Street East -- great neighborhoods in which to eat, stroll and shop. One of my favourite cafes is right down the street, overlooking Riverside Park and with a great view of downtown.
The house itself is extremely roomy, comfortable and well stocked -- at one point there were 10 people staying, and still there was room for everyone. There is even a BBQ, a fancy coffee machine, board games and an upstairs deck -- all of which we used (tennis racquets, books and movies, which we didn't!).
The bedrooms are charming, roomy and the beds very comfortable. The house has 3 bathrooms, which is very convenient. The house was attractive and very clean. The owners were reliable and very responsive.
I couldn't recommend this property more highly for your stay in Toronto. My family and friends were very comfortable and had a lot of fun there.

My friends and I visited Toronto for a long weekend, we couldn't have been more pleased with the property. The house was great. It had everything we could ask for, it was in a great neighborhood, close to bars and restaurants, public transportation was a block away, and close to downtown. Also the house itself was great. It was clean, well taken care, and had plenty of room for all of us. I wouldn't hesitate to rent the property again when I return to Toronto.

Home Away from Home

The 5 bedroom home proved to be a `home`for sure!! The place provided us with all the comforts that one looks for in one`s own home.
The rooms are all spacious, comfortable and very beautiful. The location is very central and all conveniences are close by.
Our whole family (mostly young adults) were there for our sons wedding and having everyone under one roof gave us the opportunity to have a great family time together.
Gillian, your place is beautiful and you provided us all that we needed even for my 2 grandchildren!!! Everything that we needed was there!!
And your service was amazing!!
If I ever have to visit Toronto again as a family, I hope book my stay there again.

Fabulous home!

My husband, toddler son and I spent a week at the house in early August 2012.
Our communication with Gillian through the booking process, prior to arriving and throughout our stay was nothing short of prompt, friendly and helpful. Gillian was extremely flexible and forthcoming with details and help. In fact we encountered a minor hiccup (I forgot to send our deposit) and she was extremely understanding and we were able to agree quickly on how best to proceed.
We have rented numerous times through HomeAway and this house met, possibly exceeded, all of our expectations. The house was exactly as presented in the posting, no surprises, at least no bad ones! In fact there were many very thoughtful touches - tons of extra towels, coffee, tea, restaurant recommendations and so much more. In my opinion, there are few better locations in the city. The house is mere steps from the TTC (subway), walking distance from many parks, shops, coffee shops, restaurants and even very close to the high end shopping district (Bloor/Yorkville) and downtown. Almost all of the Toronto highlights are easily accessible from the house and access to a major highway is blocks away, making travel in from either airport a cinch.
As we are originally from Toronto (and only recently moved away), we were thrilled to have space in which to visit comfortably with friends and family, all of whom were extremely impressed with our "home away from home." We will be recommending this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Toronto...unless, of course, we plan on being there at the same time. : )
