Enchanting exactly as in the pictures

It was really a pleasure to rent a place via internet and find the place as perfect as announced. Cozy and well equipped, this studio was perfectly designed for couples.
It is located in the heart of Paris, 1 block from metro station and walking distances from charming bakeries, bistros and local stores.
There is no elevator, so be aware that you should carry your luggage the way through the second floor (around 20 steps).
The bathroom is new and 2 complete sets of towels were available, but we struggled to use the shower without wetting the floor, once it does not have curtains.
A 3 doors wardrobe full of hangers is available so you can properly accommodate your clothes.
The small kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to play of ‘living in Paris for 1 week”. Buying a bottle of wine and a selection of French cheese to enjoy at ‘home’ was one of the best things in this trip.
There is dishwasher, washing and drying machine (as well as the products to use them) so there´s no need to take a huge luggage – you can wash some pieces of clothes if necessary.
Beautifully decorated, very well cared in every single detail. The owner and the caretaker are adorable, very accessible and helpful. Definitely would come back in the future.

Lovely: Charming and Comfortable!

Aside from being in a central but quiet location, as others have mentioned, this is a spacious, beautifully-furnished and well-maintained apartment. The windows open to a pretty courtyard with a large tree and, together with the kitchen window on the other side of the apartment, provide good ventilation and fresh air on warm nights. The bed is very, very comfortable. The kitchen set up is quite good for simple cooking and the appliances all function properly (diswasher, freezer, refrigerator, washer, dryer). All imaginable cleaning supplies were provided. The wide-screen TV is well-positioned and there is access to English channels (BBC, CNN, France 24, etc.). Although not evident from the photos, there is a full bath tub and plenty of fluffy towels were provided.

This is a great apartment for 1 or 2 people who want a romantic, pretty, comfortable, and central place to be. I would love to return!

My wife and I just completed a 15-day stay in this beautiful, large-studio apartment. Every amenity was provided, precisely as summarized in the listing. I have been renting vacation apartments in Europe for more than 10 years, and this rental exceeded all expectations. You could not ask for a more thoughtful, considerate, and responsive "landlady" than Catherine Lamy. Customer service is her guiding principle, and we were satisfied in every respect. The location of the apartment is--in a word--ideal. Very quiet and peaceful, no street noise, and the view into the inner courtyard is delightful. Great bed; wonderful soft, plush towels; well-equipped and functional. The washer and dryer work very well, so bring half the clothes you think you need. The open-air market at Maubert Mutualite (just around the corner, across from the Metro station entrance) provides everything you need for "in-house" dining, and all other needed shops, restaurants, and services are literally at your doorstep. High speed internet service, plus full cable TV (with English channels) were great amenities. We will be back!

Perfect central location for exploring the city with many sights, activities and restaurants on the doorstep. Beautifully furnished and well equiped, it has all that is needed for a couple. The apartment is located on a quiet side street. My only difficulty was that I could not get the supplied WiFi to connect and had to subscribe to a pay for use wifi I could pick up in the kitchen. There is a good boulangerie within 50m. and a small supermarket a few metres further to cover all essentials. A young couple have taken over the restaurant accross the street, 10m. away and are offering excellent up-market cuisine.. If travelling from CDG airport the RER station is about 300m. away and all trains from airport stop there. This is twice as fast as a taxi and about 20% of the price.
For location and equipment level I would give this apartment a strong recommendation.
Owner's Response: To be connected with internet in the apartment there is a wire on the desk to plug into the computer this is so simple easy and free of course,, no need to use the wifi to be connected The WIFI is just an additional option available it is meant to give more comfort to be able to walk around in the apartment with the computer. To install the wifi on the guest computer there is a password to be used, this is explained in a notice on the desk
I feel sorry that Colin did not call me the owner or sent an email to mention his problem it would have been immediately solved for free by plugging the internet wire in his computer, wire that he did not see on the desk, I will put a note on the desk in the future to avoid this absurd misunderstanding;

An oasis in Paris!

Review Submitted: August 31, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Lovely and large studio. Interior court with trees is fantastic! Quiet and superbly decorated. Hotels cannot offer all the amenities we enjoyed in this studio. Buy your own croissants and eat in a cool atmosphere. When you step out, turn left and Boulevard St-Germain is five minutes away, turn right and Notre-Dame is on your path.Truly a wonderfull ten day stay!

6 days in Paris

Review Submitted: August 24, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
The apartment was aptly described as in an exceptional location - convenient to transportation; 50 meters at the most from the Seine and a beautiful view of Notre Dame - lots of restaurants, food stores, wine shop, cafes, etc near by. It was quiet at night; a wonderful breeze with the windows open made sleeping easy; and the bed was fully adequate. We enjoyed having both bath and shower options - and often stopped back at the apartment during the day to shower and prepare to go out again. The kitchen area was small and it would not have been fun to try to cook a gourmet meal, but for the cheese and fresh vegetables and bread and wine that we consumed, it was fully adequate. The RER B train from Charles De Gualle airport is conveniently near-by. For anyone staying more than a few days, we recommned a museum pass and the metro pass - both more than paid for themselves for us during the 6 days we were there. If we come back to Paris, we will definitely try to stay here again.

A Perfect Week In Paris

I must say everything about this apartment exceeded my expectations, everything form the location, the amenities and general quality of the living accomodation to the customer service provided at the location, everything was outstanding. Both my partner and I had a fantastic week exploring Paris but more importantly for us we were able to relax and fulfill a dream of living if only for a week as true Parisiens.

A fabulous trip

Review Submitted: August 19, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
Let me start with something I didn't like, so that is over and done with: the outside of the building is not very inviting and makes you wonder if you are at the right address (looking at the prices of real estate during our stay in Paris made me realise, however, what a jewel we had found) . But that impression changes once you enter the apartment. It is spacious and tastefully painted in light colours which are matched by the colours of the lovely furniture.
The kitchen and bathroom are rather small, but very well equipped and very clean.
The location can't be beaten. My son and I came back on a few occasions to take a break and have a shower before we continued our sightseeing programme, and it was such a relief to get off our feet for some time and freshen up! Another bonus: Paris can be rather a loud city, but although you live very central, this apartment - which looks onto a little backyard with a lovely old tree - even allows you to sleep with the window wide open!
The surrounding area offers you everything you need: sights in walking distance, bakeries, supermarkets, bus/metro stations and all kinds of restaurants (since my son loves Chinese food, we had Chinese takeaways a couple of times, which allowed us to make ourselves real comfortable :-)) while eating and also save some money on the drinks which I found to be tremendously overpriced in most places).
Going out at night (if your feet let you :-) ! ) is not a problem; you find a lot of places in walking distance and you can feel absolutely safe!
We did a lot of sightseeing, yet I will have to go back many more times to experience only a fraction of what this fantastic city has to offer.
My teenage son's favourite were the Eiffel Tower (illuminated in blue light with golden stars sparkling), the Conciergerie (a former prison), the Louvre and the Jardin des Plantes (there you'll find a natural history museum and a small zoo). I liked all those plus Versailles and the Dome des Invalides (Napoleon is buried there). What we both could have done without was the Centre Pompidou. When we were there, they had exhibitions of the worst items of modern art I have ever seen!
To round it all up: Paris was great and we will certainly go back there more than once in the future - preferably with this lovely apartment as our "base" !

My stay in Paris

Review Submitted: July 26, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
I came back from my trip to Paris on July 14, 2008. If I ever visit Paris again, I will stay in the apartment, instead of the hotel. The apartment looks exactly the same as you see in the picture. It's a very nice place to stay, clean and spacious. You feel like you're at home. Kitchen is not big, but has everything you'll need. I cannot imagine better location than this one. It's in the center of Paris.
I'd like to say that if you are planning on staying at least a week, get the carte orange pass for seven days. I'm glad we had it. I would get a passport picture for the pass at home. The price in Paris is 4 euros. This pass also gives you a discounted price at some places like Batobus. You can get a one day pass to Versailles at the RER station for 21.65 e (a combined return journey + entrance to the Chateau, Marie-Antoinette's Estate, Grandes Eaux Musicales show), everything in one pass. Definitely visit the Versailles.
