We enjoyed the condo immensely! Location is wonderful....close to the exciting snorkel beach, near shopping, food, gas and close to the major highway! The quiet setting is enhanced by the well maintained grounds with the smell of plumeria right outside the front door. There is a farmer's market just up the hill on Saturdays, and another in town everyday except Monday. We made smoothies almost every day with all the fresh fruits, and took them down to the beach area for the gorgeous sunsets. Appreciated the beach chairs and cooler left for guest usage, and the soap, paper towels, toilet paper which many condo owners do not provide. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy the Big Island knowing we had a welcoming place to return to each evening!

I stayed in this condo for 2 weeks with 3 other adults and two teenagers. The condo was perfect. Everyone had space for alone-time and the living room was just big enough to hangout together. The kitchen, while tiny, was well-equipped and really made this feel like a temporary home rather than just a place to sleep. The beds were all quite comfortable - not too soft or firm or bouncy. And the ceiling fans provided (quiet) comfort on warmer nights.

The condo is located a mere 10-minute walk (uphill) to the Keauhou Shopping Center with a grocery store, an urgent care center (just in case!) and many restaurants. We particularly like Kenichi Pacific (sushi), Peaberry & Galette (brunch), and Sam Choy's (for large groups).

It's also a short walk to the Kahaluu Beach, a popular snorkel spot, and a 30-minute drive to Kealakekua Bay, my favorite snorkel spot on the island.

It's a 10-minute drive (not really walkable since there are no sidewalks) to downtown Kailua-Kona. We were actually quite glad to be outside the tourist bustle since we found the restaurants in Keauhou Shopping Center to be just as good (maybe better?) and much more peaceful.

This Townhome is located in the most beautiful location on the Kona side of the Island of Hawaii. The Townhome easily accommodates 4 to 6 people and allows privacy, as the bedrooms and baths are located on both levels. The Kitchen and Living area is large, with a beautiful view of their terraced Garden situated just outside the Livingroom with a Lanai to enjoy dining or relaxation. One is steps away from the Pool and Professional Tennis Courts.

A short walk to the Ocean will take you back to the year1600 as Hawaiian Heiaus have been reconstructed creating an Old, and Ancient time in Histroy. Keauhou Surf & Racquet Club accommodates Ancient Hawaiian sites & information as well. You are going to experience a place and time where the Kings of Hawaii were born, and ruled until the Monarchy fell in the late 1800's. At night, one can imagine the Night Walkers coming from the end of Alii Drive, where the last battle was fought to rid the barbaric ways of the Old Hawaiian religion. You will notice Ti Leaves planted around the townhomes, put there to protect the people inside from evil spirits. Let your imagination go wild and enjoy the beautiful beaches, sunsets, and people who make the experience of this Island so different.

Our visit to the Kileau Volcano was unforgetable. Fissures 9 and 10 were spewing out sulphur gases, causing lava to flow into the ocean, creating new land at the Ocean's edge. Madam Pele is always busy enticing tourists to come and experience her wrath.

Kahaluu Snorkel Beach is two walking blocks away North on Alii Drive. Plenty of parking,clean facilities, rentals, and food wagon are available. AM is best time for snorkeling to see the tropical reef fish and rare green sea turtles. One can swim as though in a pool, due to the reef a distance from the white sand beach. The sunset from the beach is priceless. One can visit the Little Blue Chapel at Kahaluu open 0700 for Mass on Sat. only. John Wayne was married there along with many tourists enchanted with this beautiful location.

Kailua Town hosts Princess Kalama's Palace where one can enjoy watching the children practice Hula on Sundays. The oldest Congregational church in the Hawaiian Islands is situated across from the Palace. Before the Hawaiians could read the Bible, the Missionaries built and painted the scenes in the Bible on the walls of the Painted Church near Kealakekua Bay. A trip and stay we will never forget.
