This beautifully remodeled beach cottage is in the perfect location -- one block from the beach and one block from the art district with it's many shops and resturants. If you like to eat, you'll be in heaven -- from this house you can walk to 13 excellent restaurants within five minutes. If you like the beach -- it's minutes away, bring one of our lawn chairs and relax in the sand. This is one place where you can park you car and forget it until you leave.
One of the unique features of this property is the large deck in the private back yard which is surrounded with lush tropical landscaping. It's truly amazing after dark with our extensive night landscape lighting. Relax and enjoy a glass of wine while sitting in front of the fire in your own private garden. The yard is totally fenced and pet friendly.
Other amenities include: broadband wifi internet access, high definition television, washer and dryer, outdoor furniture and dining table, chiminea, off street parking.

Wunderbar - a review from Germany!

We have been visiting Florida (we are Germans) and stayed in this cute, impeccable cottage for 10 nights. It is not only completely equipped (exceeding all our expectations by far) and offers all technical (dependable WiFi, 2 brand-new flat-screen TVs, cable TV with hundreds of stations, blue ray incl. movies, internet radio ....) and other amenities down to the very last detail, but is also absolutely and totally clean inside and out (even according to German Standards - we have this thing about cleanliness ... ;-) ). Everything is designed with great taste, nothing was missing (down to all the garbage bags, detergents for dishwasher and washer, blow dryer, toilet paper - simply everything for the complete stay). This house has been reconstructed to brand-new condition, the garden is so beautifully landscaped that one of your local family members wants to use it as a model for her house nearby.
Lovely inside and out and beautifully designed - the perfect environment for visiting our new-found American family. This place is best value for your money (I can compare, as we had to extend our stay on short notice which was not possible in this cottage - great places such as this one do rent well obviously). So we had to change to another place which could not measure at all and was even more expensive (I was not amused).
The owner is very kind and very dependable, and you are welcomed with a bottle of wine, servings of coffee and tea, and all the Information you need about the area. If I could, I would buy a place just like this!
Thanks again for making this vacation, which was so important to me and my family, such a great experience - when we return to Gulfport this is our ONLY choice! Would give more stars if that would be possible. Thank you, Richard!

We knew that Gulfport was a charming little town, having eaten at a few restaurants there, so we could see from the map that the location was "perfect". But we were really amazed about the cottage itself. After a bunch of VRBO rentals, one gets used to a big mix of pluses and minuses even in the good ones, and we took all the 5-star reviews with a grain of salt. But not here! No minuses. As other reviewers have pointed out, Richard has thought through EVERYTHING. And the cottage has been beautifully renovated and is incredibly comfortable and convenient to live in.
It would be hard to imagine how this rental could be improved upon.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend. It is an ideal location, near the beach, restaurants and other amentities. The home was very welll maintained and equipped, showing true pride of ownership.

Adorable cottage at Gulfport

This adorable unit was in the perfect spot. The cottage was immaculate and so comfortable. The owner did a spectacular job with all the furnishings and the outside patio was great. I would recommend this unit with high honors.

The Perfect Vacation Home!

My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs in September. We loved everything about this house! The backyard is beautiful - we enjoyed dinner on the covered deck in the back, and morning coffee on the side porch. The dogs loved it too! The house has everything you may possibly need, from a great Blue-ray collection to a washer and a dryer, even a beach umbrella and chairs. The owner was there to meet us and show us around. I wish we'd stayed a month!
Gulfport is a nice little village with several places to eat near the beach (try Pia's Trattoria!). The house is very close to the beach and the beach boulevard. We walked everywhere and took pictures of all the colorful houses in the neighborhood. We took the dogs to a doggy beach in the Ft. De Soto park - it's a short drive and $5 away.
We loved our stay and will definitely try to go back next year!

Perfect Vacation Getaway

My friends and I love the cottage! We drove in from Louisiana and notified Richard when we were about an hour away. When we arrived, Richard was there to greet us and get us situated before he headed out. It was extremely nice to arrive and feel like we just made it home! The cottage was exactly as described and well maintained. Everything that you could possibly need in a home was already provided for by Richard. The only thing we had to do was stock the fridge...if we were planning on cooking, that is.
Initially, we were planning on only hanging around Gulfport and walk where ever we needed to go but we ended up driving to the surrounding beaches instead. We went to a different beach each day and the drive to each one was quite easy. We really didn't get to explore Gulfport as we were out for most of the day and were only back at the cottage to either get ready for dinner or go to bed.
We really enjoyed our time at the cottage! It was the perfect vacation getaway for us and we would absolutely do it again!! Thank you, Richard, for the use of your perfect little cottage!!!

Great Place to Stay!

Great clean, cozy and comfortable cottage! Beautiful gated landscaped rear yard. Home had everything we needed. We walked to the water, pier, shops and restaurants day and night! We brought our bikes and enjoyed riding around this quaint historic town. We loved having a shed to store our bikes and the nice clean laundry room. The town is tucked away from FL. strip malls and main roadways but just a short drive to supermarkets and other conveneinces. Richard is a super host. We would stay here again.

My husband, my parents, my dog and me stayed a week at this wonderful home! It was perfect in every way. It was very clean and well equipped. I have never stayed at a place that had all the extras like this one! Richard, the owner, met us shortly after our arrival and made sure we were comfortable with everything. The location couldn't be better. Close to the beach and one street over from Beach Blvd which offers restaurants and shops. We would go back without a doubt. Thank you Richard for providing a perfect place for a vacation.

Fantastic Bungalow

An excellent bungalow in a perfect location. The house itself is great. It has everything you need and is the perfect size. The property was spotless and you can tell that the owner really cares for the property because of the quality furnishings and meticulous maintenance. Richard (owner) was friendly and very helpful.
Location wise the house is convienently located within walking distance of numerous restaurants, pubs, the beach, and a nice playground for kids. Our son loved being able to play in the water almost daily. Gulfport consists of a good mix of tourists and locals. It is a fun community, but also safe and quiet. The Tuesday morning outdoor market is well worth your time. If you prefer the bigger, more touristy beaches, the are a 10-15 min drive.
Bottom line, great place and a great location...will definitely stay there again.

Great relaxing retreat

My husband, my pug, and I were looking for a quite place to spend the holiday weekend. We found this house and it was exactly what we were looking for: clean and cozy and we were pleasantly surprised that, in person, it looks exactly like the pictures.
It was well stocked with everything you may need on your vacation: linens, towels, kitchenware, outdoor grill, and even a beach umbrella.
The owners greeted us when we got there and walked us through the entire house to make sure we knew where everything was. They were very friendly and helpful.
The location is great because it is a block away from little shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is quite and secluded and there wasn't much traffic or other noises. There is also a nice view of the gulf and a pier close by. About a 10min drive away there is an awesome dog park and beach where my dog played for hours (de soto paw playground). St. Pete beach, and the Dali Museum are also a short drive away.
I would totally recommend this and would love to stay here again.
