I am an RN who is self employed in Medical Sales for 20 years. I enjoy boating on Lake Austin, the Austin Music Scene, Restaurants and the neighborhood. I come from a great large family and have lots of friends.
The Owner purchased this house in 2000
I went to a party at this house when I moved to Austin from North Dakota in 1983. I really enjoyed the location. It came up for rent in 1997 and and I rented it. It then came up for sale in 2000 and ithen purchased it. It is a great place and I decided to make it a vacation rental, so many more people get to enjoy this cool place.
The close proximity to Lake Austin, downtown, and a couple of the most popular restaurants in Austin as well as Texas

My girlfriends and I planned a last minute trip to Austin for the Color Run and Lonestar Jam a couple of weeks ago. We communicated with Lyle 2 days before we needed to book a place to stay. He was quick in his response, acceptance of payment/deposit refund, and providing rental details. When we arrived we were SO pleased with the location, size of the rental, and outdoor space to hang out. We were able to walk to Hula Hut for dinner, were just a few miles away from the downtown and campus area, and loved the bar/patio space at the house. We are all music lovers and really enjoyed the iPod docking stations to provide music at the house as well. We went to the Lonestar Jam and were suprised by a text from Lyle saying that we should go to the Reckless Kelly merchants tent for a special treat. He had arranged for each of us to get a free koozie!! What other rental place does that?!?! We had a wonderful weekend. The only negative aspect was that the unit must have been previously smoked in because it has a distinct smoke odor inside. We were able to open the windows (since it was nice out) to air the place out but for those who may be bothered by this, just a heads up. Thanks Lyle for an awesome stay!!

Good location and good times

I did my sister's bachelor party at this location. It was very close to town lake and all the fun stuff there is to do in Austin. We really enjoyed our stay. There were 9 girls so we stretched the limit of the house but had everything we needed in terms of bedding, sheets, towels. We left some stuff at the house and Lyle was kind enough to follow up on this after we left!

Fantastic home away from home while working in Austin!

I was extremely fortunate to be a guest here while working on a recording project in Austin recently. I have to say that I can't imagine better surroundings or a better host than my new friend Lyle. I felt completely at home, and everything anyone could need is right there. Everything about the house is set up to move right in and make yourself at home, and the location is convenient to Lake Austin, the beautiful Municipal Golf Course, and several great restaurants. The place is extremely clean and very well taken care of. I can enthusiastically recommend this property for anyone visiting Austin, whether staying a few nights, or a few months!

Superb Winter Hideout

Everything is as represented and more. The owner is personable, friendly and reponsive to tenant needs. The home is very well furnished and maintained...also easy to keep up with routine maintenance. Lots of value in a relatively small space. As a winter Texan, I could not have asked for more in a comfortable, clean, safe, and convenient place to stay. The location is great, next to the lake with restaurants close by and access to the trail system for walking/running/biking. For those who like golf, the municipal course is nearby. The location in the Tarrytown area of Austin is a huge plus. Pretty cool. I would recommend this home to anybody who wants to spend some time in Austin. Many thanks to Lyle.

The reviews don't lie, the house is wonderful, the location is very convenient and the owner is super friendly. Would say it sleeps 6 comfortably, 7 if a couple shares the master and 9 if folks share the futons / master. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Very Nice House and Great Location!

We stayed with Lyle for Austin City Limits festival this year and we were very pleased! This was our first time using HomeAway and we were a bit apprehensive but Lyle made us feel very comfortable with the process. When we arrived the house exceeded expectations! It's very homey, and Lyle has provided everything you may need or want in a vacation home. He was very accessible and that came in handy as well.

This house is in a great location! We walked to Abel's for brunch and easy access to the lake. The outside bar area was convenient for our girls weekend. Clean home and the owner was available for any questions or concerns at all times.

We stayed with Lyle for 10 days, in the beginning of June 2012. Lyle was perfect, he catered to our every need. The place was stocked with everything you need, if you forgot something Lyle probably has already stocked the house with it. He even bought a Pak-n-Play for our 1 year old son. I recommend staying with Lyle.

Enjoyable Austin get-away spot

Convenient and accommodating property rental. The interior was well-kept and well-stocked with everything we could have needed during our visit. We were also able to bbq and enjoyed the outside - again everything we needed to have a nice bbq with friends was available. The property owner was very responsive and interested in our well-being. We found this a convenient part of Austin.
We would stay here again and recommend this location to others.
