Amazing location...but not everything as advertised
We stayed there in early November. Great location! A stairway down the back patio and you’re on the beach. Great patio, great views, great sunsets. We saw dolphins a couple mornings which was amazing. The house and furniture has a lived in feel so it’s comfortable and you don’t have to worry about keeping things pristine. Definitely kid friendly and lots of beds to sleep. Located in between Panama City and Destin, it’s not far from other beaches along the gulf coast.
Some things to know:
--Our hot tub was broken, we didn’t know until we showed up which was a hugely disappointing because a “Private Hot Tub overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico” was heavily featured in the description and the reason we booked this unit. I called/emailed the management company the days I was there and over the last couple weeks and have asked for some type of credit but they have not responded. (see below)
--Bed in master bedroom is super soft – it was like sleeping in enveloping pillow
--Management company helpful but responsiveness was not great – They did not respond to several e-mails or phone calls / voicemails. When they said they were going to call me I didn’t hear back and had to call them. But when I did get someone they were friendly and helpful.
--Next door neighbors have both an American and Stars and Bars (Confederate) flag on their flag pole. It’s a good land mark when walking along the beach but may not be what you want in your view.
--They have a gas grill but the gas was empty so don’t expect they will have gas
All in all, a positive review…great location, awesome beach access, nice/comfortable unit but if you stay there make sure the hot tub is working in advance, you’re fine looking at a confederate flag, and don’t expect the management company to be highly responsive.
