Quiet and Comfy Island Home

My husband and I stayed in the Madrona Manor for four glorious days and nights. The home is very clean, has all of the comforts of home, and is centrally located. We enjoyed the short walk from the house to scenic Lake Josephine, and the longer one all the way around it on another day. We took short drives to the varied attractions on Anderson Island, and enjoyed a delicious meal and view at the Lakeshore Restaurant. Island life is relaxed and slower paced, but you can find many things to do during the day. We enjoyed a great game of tennis by the lakes, using the rackets that were provided with the house. Bikes and golf equipment are available as well. Night life is quieter on the Island, so if there are not any concerts or events going on in the evenings, the General Store has a great selection of movies to rent. The owners also provide a small selection of DVDs for your viewing pleasure.
The owners were very good about communicating and being available as needed. I would recommend this home for anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway on a beautiful island in the Puget Sound.

Amazing Relaxing Weekend: Just what the doctor ordered

My wife and I had a fantastic time at Madrona Manner. We went on this trip to have the opportunity to relax by reading books, playing games, and just having the opportunity to be away from the rush of every day life. We would highly recommend this home for a couple or a small family wanting to relax, enjoy nature, and spend some quality time together.

The character, furnishings, care, location and all the extra little touches provided by the Kreager's was spectacular!
Having rented other vacation get aways we can say without a doubt that this one was the best! The Kreagers maintain this home as if they lived there, not "just" as a income provider. As soon as you open the door you truly feel as if you are home.
The Pacific Northwest, the fireplace, the evergreens and the beautiful Puget Sound was the perfect back drop for a phenomenal Christmas and New Year's!

Island Vacation on the Mainland!

Being from Minnesota, the opportunity to spend some time on an island in the Sound was noit to be passed up. Madrona Manor and Anderson Island certainly exceeded our expectations! Gorgeous views of Ranier, terrific swimming beaches, friendly island neighbors, and serenity filled our four days and nights. The Manor is a delightful newer, immaculately kept house in the trees complete with a doe and fawn visiting us every morning about breakfast time. The owners thought of everything from the membership cards to DVDs (appreciated by our teen guests) to bikes in the shed. We would certainly recommend this comfortable hide-away on the Island to anyone looking for a unique and restful vacation in the Northwest!

We enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. The house is very clean and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, as well as having room for our personal belongings to be put away. I stayed with my husband, mother and sister and felt that we had room to ourselves and never felt crowded. I was very pleased that the home was across the street from my favorite private dock on Lake Josephine at Sunfish (a huge bonus). The front deck is a great place to sit outside and soak in the afternoon and late day sun. The homeowner was gracious and helpful throughout the process of securing the rental. Being able to use the Riviera amenities was also a huge plus in regard to accessing the campgrounds, parks, etc. I highly recommend this rental, as well as I plan to keep it in mind for future trips to the Island.

My husband and I and my two year old stayed here for almost 2 weeks. It was just wonderful. The house is newly remolded. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. It is so peacefull and quite there. You also will find fishing poles and bikes. The owner is very helpful and was very flexible to accommodate us. We booked in last minute and had to change the departure day in last minute.
We all enjoyed it very much and hope we can come back :)

Wonderful relaxing time

My husband and I spent four days at this beautiful home. Having never been to Anderson Island before we enjoyed the ferry ride and the beautiful scenery of the island by both foot and auto, and enjoyed the lovely lake with all its possibilities for boating, swimming and fishing. I can't say enough about the beautiful home, which we learned was completely remodeled recently. Loved just sitting around inside and out when we felt like "kicking back" and relaxing. The kitchen is to die for...wish I could move it to my house! If you get a chance spend a few nights like we did or a whole week. You will thoroughly enjoy it. We sure did.
