This condo was fantastic! You can make it what you want. It is relaxing and quiet with a great deck. Just walking out the glass doors immediately releases any bit of stress you may be feeling.

If it is not relaxation you want, any activity it is right at your finger tips with a well stocked toy closet and a great section of beach literally within a few steps. The large screen TV is also very handy without being intrusive if it is just a movie or game you want to catch.

The home itself is incredibly well decorated and tasteful while staying very beach friendly. It looks like every flat surface in this place is brand new...and talk about clean! It is the perfect combination to feel at home while not worrying about breaking a bunch of priceless furniture or scratching the floor.

In talking to the host, Chris, you can tell she loves this place and spends many days here herself. I envy her being able to book it and stay whenever she wants. I would always check availability and consider this place when I am able to get away. As a matter fact, I have more dates already booked here very soon.

We loved this place! It couldn't be better located...steps to the sand and a short walk to a great park for the kids and everything else in town. The condo was decorated nicely in simple, modern furnishings/linens and beautifully tiled bathrooms. Everything was easy...parking, beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, towels, etc...all provided for you. The patio overlooking the ocean was so great. Those on the beach could just yell up if they needed something. There's also a private, outdoor lounge area with a fire pit, down near the sand, for having drinks and roasting marshmallows with the kids.
Chris, the owner, is very hospitable and thinks of everything to make your stay comfortable and easy. I highly recommend this condo and will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a vacation on the beach, this place is great. It is located on a wide sandy beach. The condo has beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and other beach toys for kids so you don’t need to bring a lot of extra equipment. They even have coolers you can use to take your sodas or whatever to the beach. The waves in front of the place vary by time of day and probably by time of year. When we were there, the sea was flat in the morning and evening and was good for young kids and paddle boards. In the afternoon, it picked up a bit and some of our group tried to bogie board.
The condo is slightly higher than the sand so you overlook the beach and don’t have to worry about people on the beach looking in to the condo. The views of the beach, the waves, and the sunset are as good as many we have seen in Hawaii.
The inside of this condo looks brand new. Apparently it was total gutted and redone last year. It has all the appliances and amenities that you need including a traditional coffee maker and a fancy espresso machine (you have to read the instructions to figure out how to make the espresso, but once you do, it makes a great latte). There is a large flat screen TV in the living room with a DVD player and all the cable channels. It took us a while to figure out the remote control but anyone under the age of 30 can probably operate it without a problem. There is also a large washer and drier that came in handy.
The condo is located just a few blocks from downtown Carpinteria which is a cute beach town with lots of little shops and restaurants. It is an easy walk to everything. We ate at Sly’s for dinner and would highly recommend it. However, it can get very crowded so you may have to wait and it is a little pricey, but the food was excellent.
We will definitely stay in this condo again.
