A Lovely View
This home faces west and you will be witness to the most beautiful sunsets. The bay has a lot of activity on it with many pontoon boats and jets skis going back and forth. The community is meticulous and we found the people friendly when we would be out walking our dog. Yes, we were allowed to bring our small dog with us. Being the time of year it was, we did not get to use the pool or the grill area since all of this shut down on September 10th. . We were not told about the pool closing so soon or the inability to use the outside grills. The Club House was also not available for our use. We have no idea why. It would have been terrific for our senior vacationer since she could have used the indoor pool and Jacuzzi on those days she did not come to the beach with us. We were told that the Club House would not be available for our use the day before we were to leave. Great. The home is comfortable and very nicely decorated and if you don't mind lots of steps, a townhouse is for you. 15 steps up to the front door. 5 more up to the great room. 15 up from the garage and about 15 up to the bedrooms. It was not good for the senior vacationer. It became just too much after a while. There were a few things we would have done differently; ex: not enough lighting in the fireplace room or second and third bedrooms (tough to do any reading); not enough side tables in the great room (nowhere to put your coffee mug/no coffee table); the outdoor furniture did not lend itself to a comfortable resting place (flimsy and hard); the tv in the master is way too small and the other bedrooms did not have tv's. The kitchen lacked in pots and pans along with good cutlery; it did not have a pasta strainer or crab hammers and there was a shortage of serving bowls to go with the dishes. If you don't cook in at all, mind stair climbing, or read, then it will work for you. It is a nice place. We are just being honest.
Owner's Response: Some renters will never be happy! We have never had less then a 5 star review. We take all the suggestions seriously & take great pride in our beautiful home. This renter was notified the day before her trip that the Club House had been damaged in a recent water spout on August 25. The Club House was flooded and needed immediate repair. She was offered a complete refund but chose to come anyway. We had the property manager email her regarding where the local "Y" & Senior Center were for her mom. She was aware that our property was a townhouse & familiar with the area, noted in early emails. She rented a home around the corner several years back. She rented a town home knowing her mother was "somewhat handicapped".
Our home is well stocked with a full compliment of pots, pans, bake ware even Tupperware. We have never had a complaint about the kitchen. We have many repeat renters, & really that's our best reference. While renting she notified us of a leak in the living room ceiling. We had a plumber go immediately. No sign of a leak, no evidence of water on the ceiling & no repair needed by the plumber. I have posted her email to me after her week in our home. Interesting that after she received her security deposit refund she then posts that review! Please read her complete email below:
"Well, another vacation over. Thank you again, for allowing us to share your home. It was very nice and comfortable. I vacuumed well before I left so has to not have too much dog hair flying around. Not one accident did she have. I was proud of her. The incident with the master shower was resolved when the plumbers came to investigate. It seems to be the grouting around the tiles and the materials under the tiles. They said that they have seen this same problem at other homes. And regarding the Club House; it would have been so nice to have been able to utilize those amenities. My mother is somewhat handicapped and the indoor pool and jacuzzi would have been a plus for her to do some low impact exercising.
?Where did you purchase the patio door shades in the master bedroom??Did you have the door shades in the first floor living room custom made? I never saw lined bamboo roll shades before. Very nice. ?What is the color of the walls in the master bedroom? My mother loved it. ??How long do you think it will take before I receive my 2 refundable deposits? Just wondering since I anticipate on using the money to defer my credit card purchases. ??Sincerely, ?Joanne Getz

Beautiful home and location
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bayside at Bethany Lakes. The home was described and pictured accurately and was well equipped. The view of the bay was spectacular. The grounds and property were well maintained. The location was perfect and in close proximity to the the beach. Our sons enjoyed crabbing off the dock and using the clubhouse. We were very appreciative that we could bring our dog along too! We hope to stay there again!

Wonderful Home!
This home and vacation was perfect! The house is clean, modern, situated with lovely views, easy access to the shuttle and club house. The space easily accommodated our 5 and all of our different needs. It's a short drive to the beach, so close to the grocery store and other restaurants - you can't beat it! I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for some peace, quiet, relaxation and easy vacation!

Awesome vacation!
We had a great time here! The location is perfect: It's a few minutes from Bethany Beach and extremely convenient. The beach itself is a short bike ride away. It's close to the Harris Teeter for shopping and from a bunch of restaurants, including our new favorite, The Bluecoast. The property is gorgeous and situated right on the bay with a great view. The townhouse and the pool are great, and makes a very nice alternative for when you want to rest or feel "beached out". I think the best thing is that it really feels like a home away from home. It's a beautiful home and is extremely comfortable. We had 3 adults and two kids and there was plenty of room.

Wonderful, spacious, clean, well-appointed home. Great location relative to Bethany and area parks/beaches. Really enjoyed the clubhouse--exercise and game rooms--and pools!! Loved the sunsets over the bay. Hope to rent again!
