Mary and Eugene have a fantastic place that is exactly as shown in the photos---neat, clean, roomy, everything you need for two to four people. The location is fantastic, too, as one can walk to the Hollywood Walk of Fame area, and to go to places farther away (like the beach or downtown), buses and the Metro trains are within five to fifteen minutes away on foot. Why stay in a hotel when you can have a roomy, one-bedroom apartment in a beautiful, safe neighborhood at a fantastic price. Mary and Eugene are great hosts, too, and are there to greet you and to answer any questions you may have. Since they live on the property, one has easy access to them at all times. If I return to LA in the future, I will definitely stay here (if it's available since I'm giving away this secret hideaway). :-)

The accomodations were exactly as advertised with the added bonus of Mary and Eugene's delightful presence. We especially liked the privacy,safety, well as the parking spot. Quick walk to grocery store, bus, and restaurants. If you are looking for old Hollywood charm in a tranquil setting you'll love Maryslittle Inn.

It was a beautiful,clean,comfortable,quiet and very homely apartment.
The kitchen had everything you might need to cook great meals,and within walking distance of Ralph's to do the shopping.!
Just off Sunset Boulevard it is in an excellent position to visit Hollywood etc.
Mary and Eugene are both very friendly and helpful.
Do go to The Cat and Fiddle for English brunch ----- Scrummy !! The Getty Centre is a must.

It may be called Mary's 'Little' Inn, but this gorgeous luxury apartment is a space big on charm, big on convenience, and big on the generosity and kind personalities of your hosts.

I contacted Mary and Eugene approximately 6 weeks before the arrival date, received a prompt response and made a seamless booking. Driving into the heat of Los Angeles I was looking forward to a quiet, beautiful retreat after my travels, and I was not disappointed to say the least!

Tucked away in a quiet leafy suburb in the middle of LA's most buzzing neighbourhood, I had trouble believing I was really just around the corner from Melrose, La Brea, Hollywood Bvd and Sunset. Stepping into the apartment really does feel like walking back through time to an era of 1930s glamour, with a touch of Parisienne chic. The fireplace, the antique furniture pieces, the paintings, the handmade touches of decor, the greenery outside your windows, and the balcony to enjoy the early morning coffee. Bliss!

Meanwhile, you are just minutes away from walking the Hollywood Boulevard, spectacular shopping on Melrose Bvd, hiking Runyon Canyon (only 10 mins walk away with spectacular views!), sampling the gourmet goods at Wholefoods on Santa Monica, Fairfax Farmers Market, the unmissable Hollywood Bowl ... or simply spending time at green and peaceful Plummer Park just a couple of blocks away.

The apartment is sunny, bright, airy and thoughtfully decorated by the owners. Beyond simply being spacious and conveniently furnished, it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and is simply a joy to come home to - for it really does feel like home.

The listing is everything it promises and more. What the photos cannot translate is the welcoming personalities of the owners, the hummingbirds on the trees, the community feel of the Hollywood neighbourhood, the sheer convenience of the location, and the other details that make it such a joy to spend time at MLC. Such a joy, in fact, that I jumped at the opportunity to extend my stay and, indeed, will always keep MLC in mind whenever the opportunity to spend time in Los Angeles presents itself.

I would without hesitation recommend this property and am so grateful to Mary and Eugene for all their help and kindness throughout my stay, and for allowing me the opportunity to experience this exceptional apartment which I will always think of as my first home in LA.

I stayed two weeks at Maryslittlein with my son who was moving to LA and we had a great experience . The place is even better than the description and pictures. It's very calm , with a nice garden and small fountain that made us feel in nature , however close to busy areas of Hollywood . The apartment is very confortable , with all we need , well maintened , clean and "charmant" . We used the parking for our car and also bikes that Mary and Eugene let us keep them on the ground floor, secured inside the laundry . They are very nice and were always helpful . The location is fantastic , with two supermarkets within 5 minutes walking , and many restaurants . We recomend Le Petit Greek , Mozza ( Osteria and Pizza ) , Angelini , Hungry Cat , Katsuya . After my son's apartment , it will be my first option to stay in Hollywood .

I am from Westchester NY and Mary's place was our first stop during our California vacation (my two 14 year old daughters were my vacation companions). Mary's Little Inn set the bar pretty high for the rest of our vacation. It is a large one bedroom flat that very comfortably accommodated the three of us, as the couch folds out into a double sized bed. The place is very charming, quiet and conveniently located to all Hollywood has to offer i.e. Hollywood Blvd., the Kodak (Dolby) theatre, Madam Tussauds, Grauman's Chinese Theater etc.. Even if you do not have a car (Mary's place has free off-street parking) you can very easily get to the heart of Hollywood in a very short and safe walk. And driving to the studios, Venice Beach, Rodeo Drive or the Hollywood sign (where you could horseback ride) is a hop-skip-and-a-jump from her place (conveniently located near major roads and highways).

My daughters and I were able to travel very light knowing that Mary’s place had all we needed i.e. washer and dryer, towels, sundries etc. Mary’s place also had a full kitchen (stove, refrigerator, pots, pan and plates) with all the things you need to cook a full meal, in addition to a dining room (or outside porch) to enjoy it. We have always stayed at hotels when we vacationed and this was our first “home rental.” Having now seen this way of vacationing, I most prefer “home rental” as you could fully immerse yourself in the neighborhood/culture of your vacation locale, travel lighter, save some money by not having to eat out every night and be close enough but also far enough from where all the action is taking place. Mary’s Little Inn does all this, with wonderful hosts to help support you. I very highly recommend her place if you are vacationing in or around Los Angeles.

The apartment lived up to all the info advertised, it was cozy, and I felt at home there.
It is very well located, on a beautiful boulevard,within easy waking distance of several nice places - landmarks, restaurants, supermarkets.
Not to mention the friendly owners, with their easy smile and warm welcome, always helpful, who gave us great suggestions.
I highly recommend it!

Mary's Little In is a lovely place run by a wonderful couple named Mary and Eugene! I instantly felt at home. I was here for two months and couldn't have been happier with any lodging. The apartment is superb in any regards, and the surroundings and the garden entrance is so beautiful. It offers a quiet get-away and at the same time a busy city experience. It's absolutely perfect for anyone who want's to experience the city and be able to have a quiet base at the same time. I loved it and would warmly recommend this place to anyone!
