Photos and Description of the Bigfork vacation farmhouse rental
HIgh quality 2 story homestead farmhouse, 4 Bedrooms, 2 full Baths, sleeps 10.

Once the center of a homestead farm, this story and a half home is beautifully and solidly built. The rich farm ground in the valley produces wheat and barley, potatoes, orchards of cherries, apples and more. A watchful eye at dusk and dawn will often see whitetail deer passing through our property seeking either daytime shelter in the nearby timber or night time grazing out in the open fields. Bald eagles ply the skies overhead. The area has abundant wildlife, including Rocky Mountain Elk, mule deer, black bear and grizzly, antelope and much more. The National Bison Range nearby provides spectacular opportunities to view this awesome creature. Come see for yourself!

In the heart of 'Big Sky Country', from our farmhouse take in the vista of the Whitefish Mountains and Glacier National Park to the north, the Salish Mountains to the west. South you will see the Mission Range in the land the Flathead Indian Reservation, home to the Bitterroot Salish, Kootenai, and Pend d'Oreilles tribes. Southeast, the Swan Valley, nestled between the Mission and Swan mountain ranges, the latter continuing west and north of your new home away. Jewel Basin Hiking Wilderness Hiking area, sprinkled with high peak and alpine lakes, is your view looking due east from your living room window.

About Dan or Teri Harding

Teri and I moved into this house in 1983 and purchased it a year later. Our two oldest kids, Laramie, our daughter, was just a toddler, and our oldest boy, Cheyenne was just a newborn. Six years later, our third and last child, our son Brook, was born in this house.

We have operated our mobile family business from this location, traveling to area car dealerships installing pinstripes, graphics and lite accessories, as well as making and installing signs. For the last six years, we have been working as volunteers in construction in Mexico.

Why did we buy this home? We rented it for the first year and loved the location so much we bought it the following year. Our shopping area is primarily in Kalispell, which is easily accessible, yet we could enjoy raising our family in the rural countryside outside the village of Bigfork.

Thank you, we enjoyed our time here. We found your home comfortable and our time here serene and peaceful. The swing was awesome and the cats were sweet. We will definitely be coming back to Flathead Lake! And Rosh and Z (outside farm cats) made it feel like home.

We really enjoyed our time there. It was very clean and comfortable. Our kids loved it. As a matter of fact our son wanted to move in. The setting is beautiful. The hosts were so hospitable. They made us feel like family.We hightly recommend this charming vacation home.We hope to stay again.

Charming Farm House situated in Beautiful Big Fork Montana

We had an excellent stay at this property. Every amenity was carefully planned and provided for. The home was charming, quaint and spacious. The jacuzzi hot tub was a huge plus. Our children loved making smores by the campfire and exploring the beautiful property. Everything we wanted to see was conveniently located, from Glacier National Park to Flathead lake. This property is certainly a very centralized location which is a huge plus! Dan and Teri go out of their way to make anyone's stay comfortable and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

This a comfortable old home with adequate updates. Very clean and pleasantly surprised to have the hot tub. Very convenient to Kalispell, Bigfork, GLacier, etc. Would reccomend to anyone. Not handicap accessable.

Comfy Farmhouse in Bigfork

The farmhouse was easy to find, just outside of the noise and bustle of Bigfork.

The house was charming, clean, very roomy, and welcoming. Many windows provided views of the property and surroundings.

The grassy grounds provided much room to walk, exercise dogs and/or children. There was even a deer crossing by the road at 5 a.m. one morning.

A complete kitchen and large dining room table, pretty plates and sufficient pots and pans made entertaining easy, and cable and internet kept us connected. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated, the many beds were very comfortable, Plenty of towels and blankets were provided, and the washer and dryer were a great help.

The owners were very kind and helpful, even recommending a great thin-pizza place a few miles south. It WAS great.

We arrived in time to view the Bigfork 4th of July parade, just a short drive south. Kalispell, Whitefish, and Glacier Park are directly north of the vacation home, easy drives.

All was good!
Owner's Response: We truly enjoyed this family's visit to our farmhouse. As she referenced, the home is quite accessible to Bigfork where there are a number of fine restaurants if one desired a break from the kitchen. Additionally, a close friend of ours does private catering if you desired to eat in but not cook! Her past clientele includes world bank executives, oil company presidents, national network news anchors, but most importantly, people just like you and I.
