After a perfect weekend here, two things will serve to summarize the experience for us: 1) the name - Belonging Place - could not be more fitting; and 2) the caution sign in the downstairs bathroom - "Slow, Playing." Slow playing in a place where everyone feels he/she belongs!!

It is wonderful to feel this relaxed after these deliciously quiet and serene days and nights on the Lake. My cup of gratitude runneth over. This was a time to catch up with myself, reflect, write, wander, loaf, and pay attention. Frankly it is not easy to leave the comfort and beauty of this home.

What a wonderful and relaxing experience at Belonging Place!

First, Thanks to Suzanne and Greg for sharing their wonderful house. Both adults and kids had a fantastic time during our stay, the house looks much more spacious, comfortable and welcoming than the pictures we saw at the VRBO site. Such a beautiful and relaxing view of the lake from the windows, at the dock. Canoeing on the lake and watching the mountains in the distance are just awesome. Needless to mention the plenty of supplies, 2 washers and dryers, ping pong table, the porch etc. We are already planning to come back again definitely this year. Can only imagine swimming in the lake in summer or the leaf season the fall!

awesome week in a mountain lakefront retreat

Our family clan gathered from three different states to enjoy Thanksgiving in Brevard, and your home was perfect for our three generations. The kitchen, the view, your location, the bedrooms - we had everything we wanted for our group with diverse interest, though all of us love the outdoors and hiking. We prepared all our evening meals in your house and appreciated the kitchen so well designed and stocked with utensils and appliances.
Thank you for a great week and a memorable Thanksgiving for our extended family. We look forward to returning!

Restorative Weekend!

Many many many thanks for a truly restorative weekend at Belonging Place. My whole system was able to rest in the simplicity, the serene space, and the sweet energy that it is filled with. It is absolutely what i needed. Even with a 4 year old in tow, we each found times of quiet and fun laughter together. Our daughter relished in building sand castles on the beach and practiced her patience in fishing....3 minutes is a good start! We were grateful to take time in such a healing place.
