This cottage is so adorable. It is a perfect location where you have immediate swimming available but Saco and North Conway is just a 20 min. drive. The Saco is actually only a 10 min. drive. My friends and I were having a hard year and so to recharge we decided to take a vacation away from it all. When we pulled up to this cabin we immediately said "Sadness does not reside here". The house is cheery through and through with bright colors and special little bright touches throughout the house. It fit 3 of us very comfortably and definitely fit 6 just fine.
Susan met us and was a sweetheart, she showed us where everything was and gave us some tips for the area. Sm-ore makings were waiting for us! We had to call her to figure a couple of things out and she was so helpful. Right away when you walked into the cabin, it smelt clean and was very tidy. Fresh sheets were provided and already waiting for us on the beds. Not only do people usually not provide any linens but they definitely do not put them on the bed for you.
A couple of things we loved that we did in the area were Saco swimming (the river is just plain gorgeous), drove up Mt. Washington (AMAZING but make sure you have good brakes) Hurricane Mountain rd ( a road that is a short cut to N.Conway and a fun drive) Cathedral Ledge (a fantastic view with a fence around it so u don't blow off the edge). If you have a kayak bring it to this cabin, there are waterfalls and islands off of the lake that its on! The Stars, sunrises and sunsets are so gorgeous!
The neighbors are so friendly! We were invited to grill out with them the first night we were there. This area was so thoughtful! We were out traveling a couple times and wanted to go swimming but didn't want to pay the prices. Both times people were more then happy to tell us where we could find public free beaches, no judgement at all! My friends and I are going to try to make this a tradition!
