Perfect Summer Vacation Rental for a Family Holiday

This was my family’s first visit to this beautiful home, and I certainly hope it will not be our last. My wife and I along with our three kids (4 and 2.5 year old twins) were joined by my sister and her three children (10, 8 and 6). The home comfortably accommodated our two families by providing sufficient space to gather together or to enjoy private time.
The VRBO listing is 100% accurate, yet it still fails to describe how beautiful this property is. From the moment you make your way down the driveway, you are enveloped by the thoughtful design and masterful craftsmanship of this lakeside retreat. The landscaping, decks, gardens and outdoor furnishings beckon you to take a load off. The interior layout and furnishings are spacious yet cozy. The dock offered safe mooring for our boat and provided a perfect breakwater for the gradual-entry beach where our young children enjoyed crystal clean Flathead Lake.
Feel free to bring your own toys, but Patti and Robin are very generous in sharing the toys they have gathered on behalf of their own grandchildren.
The hot tub was a spectacular place to soothe the post-waterski aches, and the kayaks were a welcome peaceful alternative to motoring. My only request would be the addition of a swim ladder to the end of the dock – other than that, this place is absolutely perfect.

Beautiful home - perfect location on an amazing lake.

This is the second year we have stayed at Robin and Patti's home and are already counting down the days till we will be back again next year with our kids and grandkids. After staying at a few different spots on the lake and seeing other properties, we have decided that this is the perfect property for us and our family. Robin and Patti have been wonderful to work with and provide a first rate vacation experience. There is a great launch about two blocks away and their dock is perfect. Enjoying water sports or boating to restaurants never gets old. The kayaks and other water toys provide lots of options if you don't have a boat, and the sightseeing from their decks (or hottub) is truly remarkable.

Wonderful week at the lake

Our family of 5 plus grandparents enjoyed a week at Flathead Lake. We loved the house! The views were spectacular. The home was very comfortable and provided a great place to relax for the week. Robin and Patti were nearby and able to answer any questions quickly. Several of us read Robin's book, Dove, while we were there! It is the nicest vacation home we have ever stayed in! I highly recommend it! On our last night there, my husband of 23 years and I renewed our wedding vows on the shores of the lake (at the house) and then had a celebration dinner of grilled steaks. It would have been difficult -- if not impossible -- to have found a more perfect setting! We also loved the kayaks and hot tub!

Meticulously crafted home- perfect family getaway

We had 4 adults and two young children stay at this beatiful home. The design of the home was fantastic giving everyone there own private space and room to spread out. The grass and docks were where we spent most of our time gazing out at the beauty of the lake. We also took advantage of the two very nice kayaks which we used every morning and every evening to cruise around the lake and explore the close islands that had osprey nests and osprey flying around. The kids loved it.
The spacious upstairs living room/play room was a hit with the kids. Chests full of toys which kept the kids entertained on a rainy day or two.
All of the details and amenities throughout the home were very high-end; bathroom, kitchens, beautiful hardwood floors, wonderfully decorated with nautical theme throughout. Fantastic hot tub on the deck overlooking the lake was where the family spent the evenings laughing and conversing.
Overall, our experience in the home was fantastic. We would recommend it to others.

This is a wonderful vacation getaway! This home is immaculately kept, high-end kitchen with great appliances thru-out, and the decor could not be anymore fitting for a lakefront home. We stayed here, with another family (8 total ppl) in June and found it more than comfortable and great for kids. The kids range in age from 1 - 7 yrs. old and it was a great place for them to enjoy the great outdoors, as well as the indoors on those days when the weather was a bit too chilly to be outdoors, thanks to all the toys and games that we were able to use.. The homeowners have made this house fantastic for all who stay - young ones or adults.
Upon renting the house after seeing it online, and reading about the homeowners, I read Dove before arriving and found it so neat to get to the house and see that Patti & Robin have memorabilia of their journeys everywhere. This truly is a special place, would highly recommend and could see us returning to this home again in the future.

The Best Week of 2011

Our family recently stayed at this property for one week from August 14th to August 21st 2011. From my initial contact with Patti right up to receiving our damage deposit, the Grahams' were absolutely wonderful to deal with. They answered all of my many, many questions. The property is more gorgeous and stunning than the photos. Everything in the home is very updated and in perfect working order. We were a total of 11 people, including 5 children from 2 to 7 years of age and the water the dock and the abundance of toys both inside and outside made for an ideal time for the youngsters. We hosted two dinners for our relatives from the area and the house and yard were definitely able to hold our group of 20. The sunsets were amamzing. Would recommend renting this property again.

BEST EVER - FAMILY REUNION

From the first cup of coffee out on the deck overloooking the glassy lake, to the sunsets at the end of each day while enjoying s'mores around the fire pit - this beautiful vacation home is as close to perfect as we have ever experienced.
Panoramic views from every window, plenty of space to accomodate our family of 8 very comfortably. so many amenities provided you wil lack for nothing. Included as well are many water 'toys' and kayaks for all the family to enjoy.
And conveniently located to all attractions, including Glacier National Park.
You'll want to come back every year.

Perfect Vacation Spot!

Our family just returned from spending a week at this wonderful home on Somers Bay. Robin and Patti are great people and easy to work with. The home is beautifully furnished with every attention to detail, and the nautical architecture and furnishings add something out of the ordinary. We love to be on the water, and Somers Bay is perfect for all kinds of water sports. Watching the sail boat races from the deck, and family time around the fire pit laughing and roasting marshmallows, is one of our favorite memories. This location on the lake is also close to lakefront restaurants that are easily accessible by boat. Just wish we had more time to spend at this beautiful place. This vacation was everything we hoped for and more! We'll definitely be going back next summer.

Awesome retreat

My husband and I spent almost two weeks in the "Sailor's Home" on Flathead Lake. The fireworks over the 4th of July were spectacular from the lounge deck and by the glass fireplace. I took the time to relax and reread "The Dove" which was so fitting and exciting to see all of the memorabilia from Robin's voyage, so eloquently displayed around the home. Hot tubbing every night, while over looking the lake and the stars was so romantic. Almost every room has a spectacular view and the photos don't begin to do justice to the beauty of this home. We highly recommend this place for both fun and relaxation.
