The Glencove lakehouse is located on a channel just off the Colorado Arm of Lake LBJ. It's an ideal NO WAKE location for any lake getaway. Both boats and PWC's can use the dock and there's easy access to the main lake without the noise and traffic.

Our lush lawn, provided washer games and now famous tree ring game provide hours of entertainment along with darts and a foosball table. We also have a Wii game console with many games and Wii accessories as well as connections for other game consoles. This is both an adult and kid friendly property. The private hot tub is the perfect way to relax at the end of an active day on the lake and did we mention the Margaritaville Margarita machine!!!!

The living room is complete with a full entertainment and media center with flat screen and surround sound. Listen to music from your iPod, iPhone or CD's while BBQing on the top deck. All bedrooms are well equipped with hotel quality linens. We have personally been in other lake house rentals that are slapped together with garage sale quality appointments. If you're looking for one of those this definitely isn't the property for you. We take great pride in our property and our maintenance.

About Wendy Johnson

I grew up in Pennsylvania and not liking the long, cold winters vowed I would live someplace warm as an adult. I moved to Austin, TX in 1991 for my career in the semiconductor industry and have not missed winter for a minute - well maybe the first snowfall... As non-native Texas say, 'I may not have born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could!' And I get some extra credit because I'm married to a wonderful native Texan!

We stayed at this property in 2010 and fell in love with the picturesque backyard complete with lush, st.augustine grass and majestic oak trees. Being 'water people' we just loved the easy access to the lake - grab a cooler, hop on the pontoon boat or jet skis and enjoy the day with friends. Or if it's not a lake day, there's plenty of golf, wineries, and restaurants to enjoy that are within minutes of the property.

Had an awesome time at the LakeHouse "where memories are made". This was the first vacation that we had with our grandson (hence the title) and he as well as all of us had a great time. The boat was smooth as we took in two early evening cruises around the lake. Then there were the wave runners and boy were those alot of fun !!! My boys really took advantage of those !!! The hot tub helped to soothe out the waves from those wave runners. The home was very clean and accommodating and well stocked with just about anything you may need to grill or cook in the kitchen. My family was very pleased with the big spacious yard and all the activities available. I think I may have set a record on the tree/ring game... 5 out of 10. We will definitely be back soon. I recommend the Glencove Home to anyone wanting to relax or enjoy the lake any day !!

I'm not a review type of guy, but this place was simply perfect. The house was spotless when we arrived, and had way more extras that were not listed on the website. Backyard was as advertised, and the pontoon boat was so much fun for the family. We honestly caught 22 perch, and 2 catfish off the dock. If you are looking for a house to rent in this area, stop looking...this is it! Thanks Wendy for letting us stay, we will be back...

Perfect family vacation weekend

This house was the perfect size for six adults and two (small) kids. Key pros were the short distance from Austin (perfect for maximizing weekend time); a fully equipped kitchen; gorgeous decor; plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture; top of the line (large) pontoon and hot tub, plus kayaks; and all in a gorgeous lakeside setting with lots of lawn space.

Wendy and Rusty communicated really well throughout, and it was a pleasure to meet them and stay in their lovely holiday home. I hope we get to come back again, and this time I will bring a fishing rod!

This place was even better than we expected. The decks were exceptional with nice patio furniture & BBQ pits. The backyard was soooo nice with all the games and even room to play football. In addition, there is a place right on the water with even more patio furniture and a small fire pit to roast marshmallows. We had a great time & the kids said this was their best Thanksgiving ever. ;)

We loved the Glencove Lake House!!! There were so many extra amenities not even listed on the website! Wendy & Rusty were great & you can tell how much pride & caring they have in this home. LBJ Lake was great too. We really enjoyed renting the pontoon boat & two jet skis. Perfect set up for four families to come together. Would love to stay here again! We really enjoyed the kayaks & paddle board as well. We caught a catfish & some perch off the deck. I really can't say enough great things about our stay here!

We truly enjoyed staying in this beautiful house! It is the nicest one we have ever stayed at - by far! The decor was exceptional, it had everything we needed, and the backyard was so relaxing! And the flowers were a thoughtful and special touch! Thank you for allowing us to stay here!
