The apartment was nice and clean. It had a cute balcony with a view of the street. The kitchen was convenient for making breakfast each day. The temperature in the apartment was good it had good air conditioning. Gorkem was extremely helpful almost along the lines of a concierge. Our luggage was lost and he called the airline for us so that it would be delivered to the apartment. The showers drain was a little slow and he had someone fix it the next day. He was also very helpful with airport transfer we have a young son so had quite a bit of luggage and it would have been difficult to get a cab. The location of the apartment was excellent it is near Ishiklal St which is a very busy shopping street and also close to public transit. There is also a small grocery near buy to get food, diapers etc.The apartment is small so it really only works for a couple or a small family with one child but a great value and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

Great location, walking distance to lots of shops and resturants. Also, close to public transportation to main tourist areas. Gorkem, the property manager, was wonderful and very helpful. He went out of his way for us and was always available. The apartment is small but clean. The washer and dryer work well. The shower has instant hot water. I suggest letting Gorkem arrange a ride from the airport. It was difficult for the cab driver from the airport to find the apartment because its in a neighborhood. Also, this way he will know what time your arriving.

My husband and I had a great week staying at Orient Aparts - it was really convenient and ideal for our needs. The apartment is small but great for two people with a comfy bed, a small table and chairs for eating breakfast, and a clean and well equipped bathroom (the shower is lovely, very hot and powerful!). The kitchen facilities are basic, so perhaps not great for self-catering, but Istanbul has some of the best food we've ever had, and so cheap, so there's no need to cook anyway! The location is really handy for when arriving from Ataturk Airport, with the bus taking you to Taksim Square, which is only a 10 walk away. Galata is close by where there are lots of lovely bars and restaurants. If you're after peace and quiet, this might not be the place for you - the roads nearby are noisy until the early hours, but it didn't keep us awake once we got used to it. The apartment is very secure, making it feel like home away from home.

Friendly looking and functional small apartment. It was very clean and had enough space for stowing your luggage, clothing and everyday necessities. It had an open kitchen. well equipped with everything you would need, I liked especially that it had an electric stove instead of the usual gas stoves, also the refrigerator was quite spacious. Everything is according to the listing.
The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location was perfect, small shops and a supermarket were just across and down the street, bus or tram stops all in short walking distance. And although the flat is close to busy Istiklal street and the nightlife at Taksim square it was quiet and non-disturbing.
I would recommend this place any time to my friends and would also rent it again myself.

Our first time to Istanbul was made very special by Gorkem and his staff. Our apartment was perfectly located, beautifully decorated and super clean. We felt home in a very new place and loved being about to have our own space while exploring the city. We had everything we needed and more! Gorkem and his staff went out of their way to make our staff stress-free. The shuttle service to the airport was a wonderful touch and took the stress off travelling early in the morning.

This is a fantastic apartment in a great Taksim location in Istanbul. Pictures are exactly how the apartment looks - everything is clean, comfortable, and convenient. The neighborhood is a 5-10 minute walk to central Taksim. While the neighborhood feels just slightly off the beaten path, we were comfortable walking to/from the apartment at all times of day/night. We would highly recommend this apartment and working with Gorkem who was incredibly helpful and professional. We paid via PayPal and had not problems at all.

When I arrived there was nobody at the apartment, but I had a great taxi driver and someone in the neighborhood whom assisted with contacting Gorkem since I did not have mobile phone service. Once I had the keys it all went great after that. The apartment was clean, equipped with the basics, and appeared to be recently renovated with new appliances. The apartment was quiet so I had no problem sleeping no matter what time of the day or night I made it back from my adventures of enjoying this great city. Wifi was always functional which was essential for me. Water temperature and pressure was exceptional. AC kept the apartment comfortable. The location was an easy walk to Istiklal Cd which was great for people watching, restaurants, and night life. I felt safe walking alone anytime of the day or night. It was a perfect match for what I was looking for while exploring this city for the first time. I would definitely stay here again.

We were 3 people in our 20's staying in Görkem's apartment during 5 days and we really enjoyed our stay.
About the apartment :
(+) In very good condition (clean, well furnished, modern) / good location because Taksim is a lively area and because we didn't mind walking - to take the tramway for example. (But you can find taxis everywhere and it's cheap) / air-conditioning and wi-fi working
(?) If you need total darkness to sleep, the light coming in at night because the curtains are not thick will bother you.
About Görkem : he always responded to our requests; we mainly communicated by e-mail and had him on the phone when we arrived. We didn't have any problem during our stay but I have no doubt he would have done his best to help us if needed.
