Cape May Apartment Rental Photos and Description
3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8

The building was built between 1894 and 1896. Originally it was a general store, then an ice cream parlor and at one time the upstairs was the town hall. I purchased the building in 1975 and the accommodations were very basic and very old. During a trip to Disney World I was inspired to completely renovate the upstairs into a first class apartment. We saved the original doors, trim and molding and after removing 4 to 5 coats of old paint reinstalled them. The original hardwood floors were also refinished. The new floor plan positions the kitchen sink in front of a window that frames the Cape May Point lighthouse, a beautiful sight when the sun is rising in the morning.

Past tenants call the large screened in porch the jewel of the building. It is great for lounging, dining and socializing. The private back yard patio adjacent to the rose garden has a picnic table, gas grill, locker full of beach gear and an enclosed dressing room with shower, laundry tub, hot water heater and drying rack. The patio can be used to store bicycles for the night.

the place was everything that the owner said...it a great location and i couldnt ask for more. me and my friends with kids had a really awesome time..the patio outside is great addition for everyone especially for kids to be outside if the weather is not good...in fact 1st we had a earthquake and 2nd hurricane Irene-we had to evacuate on thursday since it was a mandatory...we left friday early morning..we wished we could of stayed another day since friday was going to be nice BEACH day but we couldnt risk it....i def. would love to come back to this place...the lighthouse is also walking distance from the house and the beach is a block away...street are not crowded at all with cars so u can easily ride ur bike. we actully rented bikes for kids on sunset bldv since it was the cheapest-call to reserve if you something special...The owner Rick was great-if we needed anythingtold us where to go and find it.
