Absolutely fantastic apartment in the heart of the Historic Centre of Cartagena Colombia. The apartment is closely located to Cartagena's top attractions right in front of the famous Bolivar Square surrounded by the most wonderful Spanish Colonial architecture that the city has to offer, right on your door step.

The apartment is a real jewel, wondefully decorated with spanish colonial furnishings and features, ample spaces and windows that let the caribbean flow of air get through, to make it into a very cool and comfortable accommodation.

The apartment is very tidy and clean and if you decide to opt in for the houskeeping services offered by the owner, Aida (housekeeper) would friendly and warmly provide you with a five star treatment and introduce you to the delicious cuisine of the region at a very low cost.

The building offers a refreshing swiming pool in the ground floor and a terrace at fifth floor level that offers the most stunning views of the idyllic caribbean sunset over the city.

The booking arrangments are stright forward, hussle-free and professional, and the support and help offered on arrival are excellent! Aida (housekeeper) would also offer you information about local attractions and places of interest, so you'll get to experience the wonderful Cartagena with a touch of real local knowledge.

I strongly recommend this fabulous apartment if you plan a long stay holiday or a short city break in Cartagena Colombia.

I would highly recommend this apartment if you are visiting Cartagena. Chechi has a beautiful place. It is located on the Plaza Bolivar within the historic walled city. The building is a converted beautiful old hotel that still has a 24 hour doorman that buzzes you in, so it is very secure. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and you can take the stairs or the vintage elevator. You can walk to any location within the walled city and there are loads of beautiful old streets to check out with many restaurants, shops and museums. The rear of the apartment is open to the outdoors with a beautiful area to sit and relax. It is truly your little oasis in the busy city of Cartagena. There is access to a rooftop deck with a panoramic view of the city and the Caribbean. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed which is not always easy to find in Colombia. There is also a restroom off of the master bedroom. The 2nd bedroom has two single beds with access to a 2nd restroom. There is a lovely Spanish speaking woman named Ada who is the cook, cleaner, launderer & sometime rent collector for Chechi. Ada works for Chechi directly and is part of the deal, but we left her a 50,000 peso tip. Ada is available to cook meals for you. We gave her grocery money and she cooked us a wonderful lunch. Lunch is the big meal of the day. Americans aren't used to having people cook for them, or at least we weren't. Ada also did some laundry for us at the building laundry downstairs which cost about 5,000 pesos ($2.75 US) per load. If you want to be left alone, or just want Ada to clean the apartment let Chechi know. Chechi is always available by email and very responsive. If you are planning any excursions I would recommend you make the arrangements before arriving in Cartagena as some tours may be sold out if you try to do it at the last minute.

The apartment is wonderful. Clean and well equipped, with everything you would need. As the title says it is in the perfect location. The area is safe and the park right outside your door is a good place to sit and people watch. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance, there is no need for a car or cab. I contacted the owner a couple of times and the response was immediate! Look forward to staying in the apartment again., Very easy to recommend the apartment and also beautiful Cartagena.

"The apartment was just what we wanted.......beautifully maintained, clean, and perfectly located on a lovely plaza in the old city a short distance from the wall. The owner is always just a phone call away - even out of country - and the housekeeper, Ada, is a jewel. She was there on our arrival and for our departure, took us to the market, and cooked two lovely dinners for us on request. We spent countless hours exploring the old city, taking in the plazas, museums, art galleries, walked the wall, enjoying the many pieces of street art - sculptures and grafetti murals. Cartagena is definitely a city to visit, and Chechi's apartment a place to stay."
