Only one problem with our week end at the Overlook- not long enough! Beautiful location with easy access off highway. Stunning drive from Nebraska! Close enough to town but far enough away to really get the "cabin" experience. So clean and cozy! Plenty of room for grandkids to explore and play. Do not take any work with you! Windows in every room just make you stop and enjoy the view. Make sure you take plenty of snacks because you won't want to leave! Hope to be able to go again!

What a great place to stay! I spent a wonderful week at the “Overlook Ranch” and had a marvelous time. The two bedroom cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. I felt at home right away. My son spent a few days with me but after he left I felt totally safe at the ranch by myself. The ranch is a great place to take nice mountain walks, away from the noise and hassle of a town. There is beautiful scenery to look at and my dog enjoyed the excellent places to take a stroll. I saw a herd of deer outside my window one morning and a huge bull elk grazed not far from my cabin one afternoon. In the evenings as my fire burned in the stove and early mornings, I could hear the elk bugling. The porch is a great place to just sit back and read a book. The “Overlook Ranch” would be a splendid place to bring children too. It is far enough away from Estes that you are not in the crowds but close enough to go into the village to do some shopping or to the National Park whenever you want to. Gisela and Ed were fantastic and made us feel right at home. It was nice to have them near and totally wonderful to have a terrific place to bring my dog.
