Location, Location, Location That is why you want to rent this newly listed and renovated property. It is located just 5.5 miles from Cook's Corner, 6 miles from downtown Brunswick. 15 minutes to Freeport and 30 minutes to Portland. Quahog Bay is a wonderful spot, enjoy your own private deep water dock. Cook Lobster on the deck. Enjoy spectacular sunrises into the many windows in this 1969 cedar home. Every bedroom has a view of the water. We have 2 kayaks and a row boat for our guest to enjoy. The property consists of a main lodge with 4 bedrooms and room for everyone to eat and party and 2 one bedroom apartments with there own kitchens. The great room in the lodge has a kitchen that opens onto a large deck with a gas grill also with great views of the bay. Linens and towels are provided.
The TV room has a large Flat screen TV with Cable to watch your favorite Netflix or the Red Sox. The main house also has a new laundry with large front loaders.

Family Reunion
We traveled from California, Florida, Louisiana and Massachussetts for this family gathering. Very relaxing--best view in Harpswell! Wished we could have stayed longer than a week!
Perfect setting for a family reunion. We rented the main house and both apartments. Very family friendly, great big lawn for kids to play. Dock was awesome. In addition to the kayaks provided, we brought 2 of our own. The kids really enjoyed kayaking to the "little island" at low tide. We were during the lobster was really cheap! $3.99 a pound cooked and cleaned--can't beat that. One day we kayaked around and ordered 20-something pounds of lobster while sitting in the kayak for pick-up later that day--what a great memory.
House was ideally set-up for a large group. Although we had the apartments, all cooking and dining happened in the main house, which worked out just fine. Plenty of room for all!!
Harpswell is very quiet community, but very charming. We drove out to Popham Beach (about 25 minutes away) several times--well worth it! Lots of sand and really cool tides. Kids and adults loved it. Camden, Maine (about 90 minutes) was also worth the drive. The men also did a lot of golfing in the surrounding areas.
Hope to visit again one day.

Wonderful Rental
We rented the main house and the 2 apartments for our stay. We had a mini-family reuinion and it was the perfect place for us. The views and home are wonderful and fully stocked. The place was completely stocked with plenty of towels and sheets for all beds. Terry was very easy to deal with and someday we may go back. I would reccomend this as a great rental. Even the views from apartments were fabulous.

Family Reunion
6 siblings from different parts of the US, and some of their spouses, met at Sarah & Terry's lovely home for a family reunion. The views from each room were beautiful, the place was comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay very much. Terry took us for a boat ride we arranged and as an added bonus, dropped us off at Admiral Peary's summer home for a tour. Terry was very knowledgeable about the area and proved to be as good a host as he was a tour guide! Thanks to him for the restaurant recommendations, too!

Where Did the Weekend Go?
You were right. Everyone enjoyed Harborgate. It was the ideal place for the reunion of an extended family. The house is beautiful, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. The views are spectacular. And the dock and the kayaks gave the youngest generation plenty to do while us elders napped in the most comfortable hammock in Maine or sat on the deck and enjoyed just being there together. It was a great weekend. It was a pleasure doing business with you. Don't be surprised if you get inquiries from some who came about the availability of the property next summer for themselves, their kids and their friends.

Spectacular views and perfect for family reunion
My large family stayed at this property the first week of August and we loved it. We rented the main house and the two apartments. The main house is large, modern and well equipped enough for our boisterous family to all gather up for dinners ...enough chairs, dishware, glasses--every thing you need. We swam off the great new dock, kayaked, bbq'd on the deck, and enjoyed the stunning harbor views every day. Wheelhouse cafe right near by has awesome food...(be sure to try the lobster quiche and blueberry muffins). Bailey's Island and Brunswick have lots to do on a foggy morning if sitting on the deck enjoying the misty view isn't your thing. Thanks to the owners for an unforgettable, quintessential Maine vacation.

Harborgate in July 2012
We have been fortunate to vacation in Maine on a number of occasions but this was our first trip to Harpswell. What a delight! Beautiful scenery and the location is close enough to Portland to take advantage of shopping, fine dining and all the other touristy things one does on vacation. We had five families together at Harborgate for the week and the accommodations were very nice and relaxing for our gang. The main house is near perfect with an outstanding water view that presenting spectacular sunrises. The Adirondack chairs on the lawn proved to be a hub for family conversations while enjoying the ambiance of the summer in Maine. If you enjoy golf, don’t miss the opportunity to play at Brunswick Golf Club which is about 7 miles or so up the road. It doesn’t get much better than this.
