BEST PLACE IN PHOENIX!

If you are coming to Phoenix and thinking of staying in a hotel or anywhere but here then you need to get your head checked immediately. There is just no way you will stay in a nicer place, a cooler neighborhood, or receive this level of hospitality anywhere else!
Before talking about the home itself, I need to touch on how amazing Ken and Heather are. I do not believe they possess the word “no” in their vocabulary repertoire. First we asked if it was OK if we extended our stay past the dates and times originally scheduled. “Of course!” was their response. Then, last minute, we asked if we could add additional people to the reservation. We definitely didn’t expect them to say yes since their HomeAway listing says 7 people limit, and we needed space for 9. Well, Ken and Heather didn’t disappoint. Not only did they say, “of course!” again, but they went out of their way to purchase 2 blowup beds, sheets, and additional seating for the dining table, none of which we asked for but were extremely helpful and appreciated.
The pictures of the house on HomeAway DO NOT do this place justice. I’m not sure any picture could. It’s just an incredibly beautiful, modern, and spotlessly clean home. I can’t speak for the other beds in the house, but the bed in the master bedroom was unbelievably comfortable, to the point where I considered stealing it. But I digress. We watched the sunset every night from their third story balcony, where we had a completely unobstructed 220-degree view of downtown Phoenix and the beautiful surrounding mountains. Once the sun set, we would eat and drink downstairs on the their outside patio that includes seats, a table and a really nice grill.
The house is situated in by far the coolest neighborhood we came across in our stay in Phoenix. The surrounding blocks can best be described as an artisan oasis, with intimate music venues, art galleries, funky bars, and artsy coffee shops (one of which, Jobot Coffee, Ken and Heather left us 2 free drink tickets for…the coffee was amazing!). The close location (literally only a 10 minute walk) is ideal if you are not planning on renting a car in Phoenix, which we did not. We had no problem hopping between downtown and the house multiple times a day.
Whether you are coming to Phoenix to stay with friends or family (or both!), you absolutely need to stay here. You won’t regret a minute of it and you will leave feeling like you are part of the Phoenix community!
