As well on our own property we are blessed with an abundance of tropical fruit trees which we often use as a source of food for guests.Just some of the trees we have bearing fruit are ackee, mango, breadfruit, plantain, avacoda, sweet sop, and sour sop.

I am a Canadian citizen whom was bit by the travel bug at an early age, starting my worldy ventures in Europe at the tender age of 18, literally as soon as I graduated high school. I spent the next few yrs living in Western Canada, working three jobs and travelling at every opportunity that came my way.
Having spent 9 mos in Europe and having been to Mexico twice, I felt like I was a fairly seasoned traveller and ready to hit a Carribean island at last! jamaica here I come!!
That was 1987 and as they say 'the rest is history' I literally fell in love with the pulse and vibe of the island. The rich culture of the people, the soothing sounds of reggae music, the amazing food, the exotic location, endless beaches and rivers and oh did I mention the gorgeous weather ?? That was the vacation that turned my world around as I started making plans upon my return to Canada to try and get my own little piece of paradise. The next yr with a small inheritance in my pocket I literally moved to jamaica on my own, and started about the process of pursuing my dream.
It was 1987 when I began pursuing the goal of actually purchasing a piece of property in Jamaica. I travelled the island extensively and was drawn back to Negril time and again. I loved the small town feel to it and was not interested in the city life of Montego Bay or the dark grainy beaches of Ocho Rios. The seven mile stretch of pristine white sand beach in Negril is where I wanted to be close to. I could not afford a beach front property, even though Negril was literally undeveloped back then, however I came across this piece of land for sale that fit all my criteria. It was undeveloped (ltierally nothing on it) and was in close proximity to both the beach and the 'town centre' as small as it was back then, and the best thing yet, I could afford it!! I saw so much potential, it was a daunting task ahead of me to get something built on the land, but I was determined that I could turn this property into a lovely welcoming tourist haven.
The development of the property now known as Tropical Breeze has literally been a labour of love. From the abundance of lush tropical fruit trees (all hand planted by my husband) to the building of the villa, to the blasting of the rocks in order to make room for the building of the pool, it has been a long sometimes arduous process that has been years in the making. However it has also been an extremely rewarding educational experience that has allowed me to see my dream through to fruition.
We are located in a unique lane that gives a sense of privacy and yet we are literally a stones throw from the town centre and all amenities such as shopping and groceries. The bank and post office are within minutes of the villa, as is the start of the seven mile stretch of beach Negril is famous for. These being some of the many reasons I love my ideal location.
The property itself is set kitty corner to the sea allowing for the warm tropical breezes flowing in from the ocean. Ancient unique rock formations are still prevalent on the grounds adding a historic feel to the property.
The meeting place seems to be our lovely front balcony area although we have wifi throughout, even up by the pool.
