I stayed a month is this lovely apartment. It's central, silent and cozy. The owners are super helpful and everything you need is there for you.
It's on a lovely, historic street a hop and a skip to the main piazza (Maggiore) of the city. I highly recommend this apartment.

We spent 11 nights in the Olympia apartment over the Christmas holidays and would give this location a top rating. The place was cozy, comfortable, well equipped, secure, and especially convenient for walking to the historic center of Bologna. Located on the top floor of a marvelous updated palazzo, the studio apartment is constructed with an open loft with full bath, while the "downstairs" features a sitting area, eating area, kitchen with dishwasher, and half-bath. A bonus was the presence of a small washing machine off the kitchen. We did not use the foldout couch, but the extra bath was very nice to have. The bed in the loft was very comfortable, and the linens were plentiful and of very nice quality. Obviously the owner cares to make renters comfortable and happy. Renters may want to know that there are a lot of stairs up to the apartment, but there is a small elevator for hauling suitcases and groceries. Apart from the excellent location, we liked best the sense of space and comfort, along with quiet so near the city center. A possible improvement would be the installation of an armoire in the loft--closets were all downstairs, and there wasn't really any place to put clothes in the loft area. This was on balance a rather small inconvenience. I would not really suggest this apartment for more than 2 adults for any length of time, as there is not much privacy between loft and downstairs--everything is open. However, the downstairs bathroom does offer real convenience if more than 2 people stay here. It would certainly work well for a family of 3 or 4, if kids could share the couch. The area is full of lovely little cafes, shops and some upscale restaurants. Plus a fairly new supermarket, Coop, around the corner at intersection of Via Farini and Santo Stefano--all very convenient and charming. Famous Sorbetteria Castiglione just a few blocks away with adjacent chocolate store, all to die for.

We couldn't have asked for a better location! The Olympia is perfectly located (even near the city's best gelateria, which is critical for two children!). We were able to walk most everywhere - and yet had easy access to the buses to the train station. We loved the city, it had tons of charm and wonderul hidden gems - and we know part of what made the stay so great was having the Olympia to return to every day. The apartment worked wonderfully for our family of 4. Our boys loved their "space" downstairs, and we loved retiring to the loft.

The apartment is beautifully appointed, little details are noted and cared for. We had a wonderful welcome pastry which the boys loved, and we very much enjoyed meeting Paola and getting to know the city.

We highly recommend the Olympia to anyone!

The Olympia proved to be an excellent choice for our one-week stay in Bologna. The location is perfect, right in the center of the city, a few minutes from Piazza Maggiore and walking distance to all the major sites. The apartment, recently renovated, lived up to the description. Everything worked perfectly and the bed was better than most I've found in Italy. Paola greeted us at the apartment and answered all our questions clearly and patiently. Having spent two years in Bologna as a student many years ago, I'm familiar with the city and I can't imagine a better choice, for location and amenities. It was a pleasure to stay at the Olympia and I highly recommend it.

Good size apartment, light and bright, perfect for 3-4, extra clean and elegant, comfortable, quiet and perfectly located in the center of Bologna - no need for a car. Excellent quality beds with firm mattresses and frames, fully stocked kitchen. Definitely the perfect accommodation, highly recommended.
